Glenmont is nasty kids are disrespectful and the teachers was scared of the kids most of the time and we mostly had to teach ourselves it was drug fights and sex on campus class of 2009-2011 I wish I could start over since they build the new building
I was going to send my 17 year old son here. He needs the structure and discipline of a place like job corp. The only thing that I am EXTREMELY turned off by is that they have ex- employees that go around bad- mouthing the place and telling you every reason why your child should stay home and waist their life rather than go to job corp. I feel potential students should be allowed to give the program a try and form their own un- biased opinion. Job Corp needs to have all employees sign some kind of confidentiality waiver in an attempt to avoid things like this from happening.
nasty filthy place from the front office bathrooms at the guards front office before you even get into the center are beyond dirty the. people there are rude to the students as well as unprofessional once you sign up to live there its a nightmare for you to leave they make you sign a letter saying why you dont want to live in the woods anymore and why you dont want to use the unsanitary dorm bathrooms and nasty shower rooms the dept of health needs to go there make them use the money they get for housing students to upgrade that whe place instead of splitting the money down between the staff bank accounts ill never ever tell a kids to go there glenmont job corps is a nasty place to be

I have recently graduated with Glenmont Job Corps. I must say my stay there was not easy at all, and some staff didn't do their jobs as they should. my program I attended was Security Milcap. Mr. Mosso, the instructor of that program was my biggest motivation my whole time there. he pushed me and seen more in me than I could myself. he believed in me, and now almost a year out of there I am continuing my education at the University of Phoenix going for my associates first for Criminal Justice.
This school is very unprofessional I called to speak to the and supervisors or managers on numerous times. This is coming from the The Wellness Center it's should be call migrate center. The many times I keep calling leaving messages that I get a migrate. They always make some excuses. They tell you what you want to hear once you leave, the school they want nothing to do with you. I feel that, don't tell someone one thing and don't have nothing to back it up. If you don't have no information on the program don't ignore my calls or tell receptionist you're not there that is VERY unprofessional. Don't tell the student, when she leave yeah, you have 3 months to get in the program when I called asked are they going to call the student or should she call. Something simple as that should NOT take days, weeks to get answer it's either YES or NO and she still didn't getting an answer.If anybody trying to get in this school go any where but HERE!!!.
Do NOT GO HERE. THEY WILL MAJORLY SCREW YOU. I was a good student who traveled an hour and back to get there, and they can't even return my belongings. Most unorganized program i'd ever been through. Not to mention the staff are rude as well as the students, and the place is a filthy mess.

Job Corps is a goid place to b at you can get so much out of them like your driver licenses and a good career job like auto,fm,cna,maa and security. You can learn so much it's crazy you jus gotta stay focused and do what u gotta do...
As a Instructor this is great program on paper. But $27,000 dollars of tax payers money for each student? They graduate and work at Wal-Mart. I enjoyed my time teaching the students. The management team has little intergity. If you want to sale your soul then this job is for you! The Center Director is always under investigation by the government?
It s a prison, college, and high school all rolled up into one. Its not worth the $23.01 (instead of the $25 they promise you when you sign up! thanks taxes) you make every two weeks. If you re 18+ you re gonna feel trapped. youre gonna feel like you re being treated like a child. You re gonna feel like you re in a prison. The program isn t worth it. Just get a minimum wage job you re better off than wasting your time in this hell hole

I am now 53. At the the age of 18 I went, I don't remember anything but good. I needed the structure and discipline to accomplish what I needed. I received my Ged, nurcing asst, also took typing and took as many trades as I could. I actually only signed up for two years, but got it extended because I had alot of drive to acomplish what I could, While I was there. I got to volunteer with the dental office knowing that was what I wanted to go to college for. I went to Husdon Valley community college and got my certification. I have to agree, it's what you make of it. I am very proud to say It worked for me. I am also, just glad to finally be able to share my story.
