I've been a patient of Dr. Mulhall for many years. He is always very thorough and effective in his treatments. He is committed to resolving any issues I have in as few visits as possible. Some of my family see Dr. Hapka and are equally as satisfied with their experiences. I highly recommend Active Spine and Sport.

I have had 4 injuries treated by Dr. Brian Mulhall who is by the way a genius! This time I had foot pain so naturally I thought my foot was hurt. Dr. Mulhall did as he always does with a questionnaire trying to diagnose the cause of my foot pain. Turns out the problem was with my ankle, causing problems with my foot. Bottom line, after fixing the problem, he tells me what is wrong and how to keep it from happening in the future. As always, I had immediate relief and a new way to manipulate my foot and ankle to prevent the injury myself. Don't waste your time going to anyone else, I'm telling you this guy is a Kinesiologic genius!
Capital service! Dr. Mulhall & Dr. Hapka were patient with the persistence of my knee injury. They listened to me, educated me, and were willing to try different treatments. Thanks to their expertise I am back to running! Office and staff could not be better!
I have been a patient for several years with Dr. Mulhall and recommend him to everybody I know. He can usually fix any pain I have within 1 treatment. Since I have a scoliosis condition as well, I go regularly or as often as I can. No back pain, and I can walk without the cramping in the lower legs and feet. Dr. Hapka was a great help with a carpel tunnel issue that arose last fall. I recommended Dr M. to a co-worker planning knee surgery and now it has been 3-4 years and she still has her own knees. She thanked me one day, but the thanks really goes to Dr. M. I highly recommend both.
I always leave feeling better than I went in. I feel that the people at Active Spine and Sport are well educated in their field and work hard to help me understand how they can help me and what I can do at home to continue to feel better.
I love coming to see Dr. Mulhall! He s always so great at explaining what s causing my pain, and I really appreciate that. He s more interested in teaching me how to keep myself pain free than making sure I keep coming back to see him, which saves us both time and saves me money! I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking to manage their pain.
My first observation of Active Spine and Sport was the cleanliness of the waiting room as well as having a less than 10 minute wait time which is rare at most appointments. The ladies at the front are so kind and warm welcoming. So many positive things so let me list them in order to save you from my rambling: 1. They take the time to fix the issue, not cover it up. 2. There are no hidden fees for add-ons. They help you, they do what they need to do and you pay one fee. Done. Love this. 3. Jason is one knowledgeable dude. He sends me home with a plan (because I am an adult and should be able to do my homework) so I can work on my movement and stretches. Like I said, they want to fix the issue, not rob your bank account. I highly recommend this place to anyone dealing with pain. Not sure they can fix broken hearts, but they've got your back!
I've seen Dr. Mulhall and Dr. Hapka and they're both amazing; given ASST's high standard of care, I'm sure all their practitioners are. I'd had back and a host of muscle-related problems for many years and had tried so many things. No exaggeration - three visits in with Dr. Mulhall and my back felt better than it had since I injured it in 1992. All my issues have steadily improved since with minimal visits. What a huge game-changer! One visit with them is more effective than weeks of standard PT or chiro. You can schedule online and they list upfront what they can do at your appointment and the cost. I come away knowing that the modest cost is an investment in my long-term health. In 20 years none of the many practitioners I've seen even come close to these guys. Highly recommended!!
Dr Hapka, has carried out methodical and successful treatment of my knee and back issues. Their treatment is certainly not in the "get as many cracks as possible out of your back and then send you on your way" bracket. 5 Stars is not a high enough rating.
Dr. Hapka is fantastic. After I was in a car accident I had numerous people recommend Active Spine & Sport as the best in town and I was extremely hesitant to believe it. However, I could not have been more wrong. Dr. Hapka has been great. He is very skilled and knowledgeable and it is so true that his goal is to get you healed and out of there as soon as possible unlike other chiropractors who want to get as many visits out of you as possible. He is great at explaining what is going on, answering all of your questions, and giving at home exercises to work on improving from your injury. I cannot possibly recommend him enough. He is definitely someone who you can trust to help you heal.
I thought I was going to disabled the rest of my life. Three years ago I was diagnosed with Recurvatum in my knees and also discovered that my right tibia was one inch shorter than my left which I was told at the time was leading to knee pain so excruciating I could barely walk. I had to be very careful playing with my now 3 yr old son, anything could tweek it and I would be walking around like pirate with a peg leg. I lost hope when told all I could do was avoid activities that caused the pain.
Dr. Mulhall met my wife during her yoga teacher training and he told her to tell me to come to him. We are just getting started on my leg but Dr Mulhall has found my issues were not skeletal but muscular. After just a few visits I have much less knee pain and much more range of motion and general comfort. Could not recommend this place more, thanks!! I can't wait to start running again.
I've been seeing Dr. Mulhall for 3 years now. He's the only Dr. that makes me laugh so hard I'm in tears as he works out the horribly tight muscles. Takes my mind right off the pain! I just went yesterday for my knee and he discovered it was my quads causing my knee pain. So relieved! I recommend him to everyone I know!
Dr. Janson Kemp does a great job. He is very attentive and gives expert treatment. The staff here is sweet and helpful. 5 stars for Active Spine and Sport from me!!!
Two visits, got my foot fixed up! Did not even have to stop running. The doctor spent an hour and a half with me over the course of the two visits, answered my questions, and took the time to teach me how to do preventative work at home. Very happy with these guys.
I love Dr Haptka. He takes his time to figure out the issue and work through it. I go here for maintenance and help recovering from an injury. It's always easy to get an appointment. I'm a competitive powerlifter so this aspect of my recovery is imperative.
Dr. Mulhall is amazing. He takes the time needed to really get to the core of how to treat your individual problem and asks for feedback. I will not consider another chiropractor as long as he is working.
Twice I had to drop out of marathon training due to an achilles tendon injury (it's tough when you are in the clydesdale division). The third time it happened, someone suggested I see Active, and with their help, I was able to finish my training and finally run a marathon. I give 100% of the credit to Dr. Mulhall and his staff at Active Spine & Sport Therapy.
Dr. Mulhall and Dr. Hapka are the Greatest, they got me back on on my feet and back on the track Highly, highly recommend this place for all of your active needs.
I took my son to see Dr. Hapka and I could not have been more pleased. He was very attentive and knowledgeable and spent a lot of time with us getting to the root of my son s problem. Everyone in the office was very professional. So glad our friend recommended Active Spine & Sport. I can t say enough good things about these folks!
Problem Solvers. These guys take their craft seriously and are on a mission to fix everyone that walks in the door. No BS, Just good treatment and results.
Dr. Mulhall reliieved my back pain in one visit. He is now treating what may be carpal tunnel syndrome, so I don't have conclusive evidence on the success of that treatment yet.
Wow. So happy I followed a recommendation to see Dr. Hapka. At the beginning of my first visit, I could not reach my hands to my knees without pain in my low back. By the end of the hour, I could touch my toes. Amazing!
The doctors actually take the time to listen to you and figure out the root of your pain! Their goal is for there to be no need for follow up appointments.
Dr. Brian Mulhall is a great clinician, as he listens to his clients very well and utilizes a number of treatment approaches that best suite the client's needs. There are no cookie cutter approaches with Dr. Mulhall, and he strives to identify the root of the problem, then delivers exceptional care with results! I have had problems with my neck for several years, and I tried multiple PT's and chiropractors, and he was able to identify the problem on my first visit! Thank you Dr. Brian!
Always my "go-to" for help with my sports-related issues. I thoroughly appreciate and value the 3 I've worked with the most. Brian Hapka, Brian Mulhall and Karen Medart. Spectacular office environment, great hours and the online scheduling is extremely helpful. Can't say enough good things about their knowledge, skills and professionalism.
I'd been ignoring some back and hip pain for about 5 years before finally deciding to do something about it (just getting old right?). First session with Dr. Hapka was unbelievable. After some mobility test, he showed me which muscles were not communicating with each other and worked them back into shape. Couple more sessions to improve my range of motion and that's it. This is the best I've felt in a long time. I highly recommend this place!
The staff is friendly. I've never had to wait for my appointment and never felt like Dr Hill was rushing me put the door either. I get excellent results with ART--this practice is a God-send!
They not only provide hands on treatment but will also provide you with the information on what you can do to help heal or prevent injuries or pain outside of their office. As a gym owner they are who I send my athletes and clients because they produce results and they do so quickly.
Dr. Hapka is very thorough and competent. He is helping my hips, lower and upper back and both of my shoulders. He uses a combination of techniques which fit my specific problem. Dr. Hapka prescribed an exercise program for me that is helping reduce the pain, stiffness and soreness I have been experiencing for months. His staff is very efficient, competent and friendly.
Came in for tingling in my left hand and fingers and Dr. Mulhall claimed he caused and worked some manipulation wonders as well as giving me exercises for home. Much better.
Dr. Mulhall and his staff are incredible! Dr. Mulhall takes great pride in making sure his patients have improved quality of life through his myriad of services. The staff are always so friendly and warm. And, the addition of Karen Medart LMT as a sports massage therapist has been a blessing! I can't wait to try their new Assisted Yoga Sessions with Angela Smayda soon! Dr. Mulhall and his team are constantly looking for ways to improve patient outcomes through new and innovative services!
Dr. Hapka is excellent at asking to understand the root of the problem. He puts you through the motions to fix the issue for long term success and not a short term solution.
Dr. Mulhall has been my go to source for various work related (over use) injuries for over ten years.. Pinched nerves, brachial plexus issues, rotator cuff injury , scar tissue release (Active Release Technique), and others! He has taught me how to exercise/stretch to regain my mobility, and I am more than grateful for his approach and commitment to healing! Thanks, Brian!
Active Spine and Sport therapy is the best center I've ever been too. I recommend to go there for any pain your having. It's their goal to get you back on your feet and moving in no time.
I have been working with Dr. Mulhall and he is a dedicated physician... One who takes the time to really try and solve your problem and educate you on what it wrong, so you can continue helping yourself outside the office on a daily basis. Clear communication and persobabale, he is a great doctor to see and one who truly cares. I love active spine and sport so much I drive an hour every 2 weeks to come see them. Totally worth the time and effort, because they really do care about helping you and solving your problem(s)
Dr. Hapka is an amazing Dr. I am normally the last to go seek help because, I think it's always a gimmick. However, Dr. Hapka has changed my mind. He truly grades himself like a golfer. He wants to see you the lease amount of times possible. The minute he told me the cause of my back pain stemmed from my tight quads and hip flexers, he had my trust. I already knew that, but I didn't understand the pain it was causing. I thought it was my lower back muscles and my hamstrings.
He explained how everything was connected and his plan of action. He didn't want me to buy any gadget, he simply wanted me to use my body weight and stretch. He estimated I would probably see him 3 or 4 visits. Not once was I ever presented a huge bill nor was I told about this expensive treatment plan.
I would highly recommend Dr. Hapka and Active Spine & Sport to anyone!
I have come for my ankle, neck, and lower back and have been cared for to the fullest. The staff I extremely friendly and informative and make you feel like family. I definitely & highly recommend this place!
I saw Dr. Hapka after going to an orthopedists then going to PT for 6months with very few results. He truly aims to see you in as few visits as possible and when you aren't responding, he will certainly give you recommendations on where to go to get the best care. I appreciate that while you may have X problem, he's going to look at all the areas of connection to understand the best holistic approach to get you back to 100%. He doesn't accept insurance but if you end up with 4 visits max, this could end up being more affordable in the long run anyways. Highly recommend!!!!
Dr. Mulhall - and now Dr. Hapka - have been able to help me function and have relieved my chronic pain. They teach you how to understand what's going on and what to do about it. Don't know what I'd do without them!
What can one say? Imagine taking your car to a mechanic and the mechanic does such a good job that you never have to come back to the shop again. That is what Active Spine & Sport Therapy offer. It is because of their philosophy to fix it right.... forever..... That I consistently reccomend them to everyone I know.
Dr. Mulhall knows what he is talking about and explains things in ways that are easily understood. His recommendations and exercises have always helped. I always get the feeling that everyone is there wanting to help and certainly not take advantage of me
Within my first visit, a shoulder issue I've had for 2 years felt so much better and manageable. Dr. Jason Hill is great! He takes the time to explain what is happening within the muscles that's causing issue, and treatment plans to prevent further damage/problems. All staff I've interacted with is very friendly and welcoming.
I can't say enough about active spine and sport. I have been going here since 2011, I have learned so much about my body and my pains. They not only repair my athletic injuries and pains they have taught me how to get in front of them and keep the pains from becoming a problem that would need addressing. The whole practice is about teaching you to not need them, but they are there when you do.
I just completed Ultraman Florida which required more training than my body has ever endured. I got to the start line healthy and pain free.
I had the race of a lifetime and I definitely owe a part of that to Dr Brian Mullhal, Dr Hapka and Dr Mccalister of Active Spine and Sport.
I had feet problems for four years. He cured it in about thirty minutes by proscribing simple exercises. He also explained everything making it very simple. It was magical.
I am pleased with the evaluation and treatment plan for my daughter and myself for sport related injuries. The doctor is through and explains the issues and therapy in good detail and results are positive.
Very Professional, Knowledgeable, Friendly and Compassionate. Staff is Courteous, Professional, and Considerate. I would recommend Dr. Hill to anyone who has medical concerns.
Their goal is to fix what's hurting you in as few visits as possible! You just can't beat that! I've only been to Dr. Brian Mulhall but I've heard the other doctors are wonderful also. I hurt my shoulder working out and Dr. Brian fixed it totally in two visits! He takes the time to explain what is going on and what he's going to do to make it feel better. Love that! They will send exercises for you to do on your own and it's super convenient to watch and follow the exercises right on your phone. My daughter has been to Dr. Brian also and he's helped her several times. Super nice man and the staff is all awesome also!
A personal trainer first referred me to Active Spine & Sport Therapy in 2014 when I was dealing with a bad case of sciatica. I didn't want to have surgery, but was desperate for some kind of relief. Dr. Bryan Hapka was able to quickly identify the underlying issues. Not only did he do some adjustments that offered immediate relief, he also gave me some "homework" that helped work out some knots and correct muscular imbalances.
After two visits and doing the work he prescribed, the pain was gone and never returned. I've scheduled appointments for a couple of other issues, including a recent running injury. Each time, they have been able to get me back to normal very quickly. Check out their website and see the list of what they treat. If you are dealing with any of these, I would strongly recommend booking an appointment with Active Spine & Sports Therapy.
The doctors are wholistic and thorough and take time to learn about your body and it's needs as well and educate and equip you to take better care of your body for injury healing and prevention. They don't waste your time.
I've been going to Active Spine & Sport for over 10 years. Whenever I get a sport related injury, they get me back to training and performing at my best with minimal downtime. I highly recommend.
Dr. Jason Hill was great with my 11yo daughter - he was very patient, kind, and helpful, and she actually enjoyed her treatment (and the recommendation to go shoe shopping afterwards, haha). Highly recommend!
Dr. Hapka has been one of the most helpful people in getting me back to normal activities since my injury. He definitely knows what he is doing and does it well! Worth every penny!
I also had a massage...the massage lady is terrific! She was able to break the muscle spasm in one session.
Dr. Mulhall is amazing. He's a true gem in the field. He won't tell you that he can cure allergies or heartburn with an adjustment. (yes, I've been told that at other places). In fact, he rarely does an adjustment. His focus is on a variety of modalities that actually address the issue you are having, and he takes into account the skeletal and soft-tissue factors of the problem. I'm a huge fan, and will continue to see Brian first for every silly injury I give myself.
Every therapist I've ever seen there, and I think I've seen them all, really takes the time to listen to you and try and work with you/on you in order for you to obtain your goals. They all have a background in athletics, to some extent, and can relate to the injuries and aches/pains that most weekend warriors suffer from! Plus, they support and sponsor a lot of endurance sports in the Metroplex!!
Dr Hill is amazing. Literally every time I go in for an appointment, I get instant relief from whatever I'm dealing with. He works to get me back to doing whatever activity I'm doing as quickly as possible......and DOESN'T focus on long term programs/treatments. Every time I visit....I kick myself for not going in sooner!!!
As a sports dietitian, we need other health professionals that can help keep our athletes healthy and injury free which is exactly what Active Spine & Sport Therapy does! In addition, as an athlete, they've helped me many times to get back to my sport quickly when I get injured. I can't say enough good things about the docs here and their staff!
Dr. Mulhall is a genious. I've been a patient of his for 6 years or so. As an older athlete, I often have issues that need "fixing" and Dr. Mulhall has never failed to understand what I need, and provide the therapy that keeps me going. My most recent visit was because I've struggled with calf pain that drastically reduced my ability to train for an upcoming marathon. During my visit, Dr. Mulhall recognized that this has been a chronic problem for me and after some discussion, he recommended dry needling. I was unaware of this therapy, but I trust Dr. Mulhall implicitly. I will admit that it was painful, but after it was over, I progressed exactly as he had outlined. Two days later I was able to run 20 miles with no pain at all; that's zero pain. I would recommend Dr. Mulhall and his staff without reservation. He is a miracle worker.
Both my daughter and I have been there for back and foot issues. Just recently I went because I was having shoulder pain from lifting heavy items at work. They actually take the time to examine and test your core body strength and weaknesses. Then do some treatment there as well as give information on how to recover at home. One of the most effective doctors I have ever been to. I use flex benefits to get reimbursement because they don't take insurance. (You can file to get reimbursement if your insurance does that).
Dr.Jason Hill does a stellar job of addressing my pain & not only tells me what else I can do about the pain, but also HOW to address the underlying issues creating my pain. I ve seen him many times over the last 18 months and every time I leave his office, I feel lighter & more comfortable in my body. My husband sees him too & we both are so grateful for his services in our life. Book that appointment- you won t be disappointed!
I highly recommend anyone dealing with sports injury to Dr. Mulhall. He was able to tell me what movements to do to help heal my bulging disc a couple years back. I only had to see hime once and I havent had any back problems since! I came back to him this year when my knee was giving me problems. In less than 30 minutes, he had me walking around the clinic virtually pain free! Thanks Dr. Mulhall!
Dr. Hapka has made significant progress on an ankle injury of mine that was undiagnosed by three other doctors over the course of three years! In only two visits, the daily pain I had is almost completely gone. I highly recommend him to anyone suffering joint and muscle pain.
After years and numerous different chiropractors I feel like I am finally on my way to taking control of my back pain, thanks to Dr. Hapka. Instead of just doing an adjustment to hold me over until my next episode, he took the time to listen to my history and begin to pinpoint what is causing the issues in the first place. The treatment plan he prescribed opened my eyes to many bad habits I've had throughout my adult life that have brought on my back pain. They don't re-invent the wheel here! Dr. Hapka simply listens to his patients and then works to attack the core-problem, not just put a band-aid on it. I cannot recommend him enough!
Dr Jason Hill was great - he listened and understood my issue and then thoroughly checked everything, made the adjustments needed and told me what I need to do to prevent the injury in the future. Much appreciated!!!
My foot was hurting so badly I could barely walk. Dr. Mulhall knew right away what was wrong and how he could help me. He was so sympatric and kind. By then end of my session I was so much better. I felt such relief that I had found a Dr. that cared about me and knew how to help me. I highly recommend Dr. Brian Mulhall.
This place is fantastic. My husband had an injury that was too severe for them to work with, so they referred us to get an MRI and then didn't charge us even though we were seen. It is really hard to find people who truly care about you and not just your money. Now, he is recovering, and will be coming back for therapy. Thank you for going the extra mile to see to it that he received the proper care.
