Teaching is a second career endeavour for me, and the ACT preparation program followed by the ACT clinical teaching covered all crucial aspects of successful teaching and made me feel better equipped to handle the task. I highly recommend ACT for anyone considering a teaching career.

Very engaging. Brett is a master at leading the class. Managable work load, great for working adults and people with families. Everyone was extremely helpful with acquiring everything necesary for certification. The time flew by. I love attending a classroom and making friends with fellow new teachers.

ACT Dallas is a great program, and it moves really fast. Previously, as someone with no teaching experience or teaching credentials at all, I found out about the ACT program at a job fair. I gave them a phone call, and then five months later, I was hired as a 3rd grade teacher. The entire program is exactly the way that it is described on the website.
I had a wonderful experience at ACT. All of the staff members are very responsive and helpful. They truly care about our success. If you are looking into alternative certification programs I would highly recommend ACT!

I had a great experience ACT Houston at Dallas! I am a college graduate from FIU who just moved back to Texas. I came here to get my Texas alternative certification. The staff here is very respectful and knowledgeable. Most of them have many years of experience as educators and administrators. They share their experiences of what worked in their classrooms and what the principals look for when hiring. They prepare you for interviews, job fairs, classroom management, and really emphasize on the importance of classroom procedures. You will learn a lot in a short amount of time!!!!
The ACT program here at the ACT-Houston-Dallas location was amazing. The quality and caliber of instructions and information from the staff and facilitator was very professional and informative on all levels. I would recommend this program to All educators, new and veteran.

Getting my alternative certification through ACT Dallas was a very enjoyable experience. Their staff are all very qualified veteran teachers/principals, and it made me feel like I was getting the best, real-world advice. They were very helpful when I had questions, and made themselves available throughout the process of completing the steps for the certification. The preparation program was rigorous, but supremely helpful in beginning the process of actually applying to teaching positions. If you're like me, teaching wasn't something you necessarily thought you would end up in, but it ended up being a blessing, and ACT makes it enjoyable, and is passionate about you making it.

ACT Dallas is excellent! The staff are extremely knowledgeable and helpful in navigating the certification process. Unlike many other teacher preparation programs, ACT has a robust hands-on, in person institute that really does prepare new teachers for the classroom. If you are a veteran wanting to utilize any G.I. Bill benefit you shouldn't even consider anyone else- ACT is the way to go.
The Certification Process can be very overwhelming, but every single member staff in ACT was extremely helpful. I was helped in every step of my path, from my content exams and all the way to my first job. They have endless resources and they are always super nice!

ACT Dallas ROCKS!!! After retiring from the military teaching was a no brainer for me. The course work and staff at ATC Dallas prepared me superbly for every day classroom success. The processes required from dressing for success down to the writing of an education based resume were covered in depth. if you demand the best then ATC Dallas Houston Austin is the place to go.
You really learn about lesson plans and classroom management as well as how to instruct a lesson. It's hands on :)
