I went here to take my FAA Part 107 UAV test (for commercial drone piloting). I read the reviews just for fun before I went, I kept hearing about this guy, Gus. Sure enough he was the only one there that day, and yeah, he's a bit unusual. But if you put up with him, he won't give you too much trouble, he helped get the job done. And by the way, I did pass my test.

I inquired about getting checked out in an aircraft at Ace. I spoke with the owner Gus, and I couldn't believe the condescending tone in which he spoke to me. He was downright rude and hostile. I walked out on him. I would never do business with someone as impolite as someone like him. The guys at Queen City Airport were much more friendly and accommodating. Sorry Ace but your owner needs to learn some manners!!

Bought a half an hour helicopter session for my Boyfriend for his Birthday, he LOVED it. He was all smiles the entire time and the entire way home. The staff was great and friendly and he got to drive a lot, he says he can't wait to fly again! Will definately go there again!

The owner - Gus is an absolute Jackwagon ! Aside from lacking the most basic people skills, he is most interested in telling you what you cant do instead of what you can do. The aircraft are old and tired. Check out Gateway Aviation at Queen City. Great place to train - aircraft are better equipped and maintained. More bang for your rental rate buck - and without the obnoxious management.

It was an awesome and thrilling experience. The staff was pleasant and the pilot made me feel at ease. I had a grupon for half hour heli flight. Stayed up alot longer and did not wanna stop. This is a must do for anyone!

Everyone here is great except the owner Gus Yialamas. Prices are reasonable enough and they have many Cessna 152s (which is rare), but avoid dealing with Gus at all costs! To the first time I spoke with him to somewhat recently, he always tried to speak down to me and make it seem everything was my fault. He easily loses his temper. If you fly at Ace Pilot after awhile it becomes apparent that several of the instructors and staff have negative sentiments towards him as well.

I believe Ace Pilot is an excellent place to rent planes and also a very good place to learn to fly, however I cannot give them five stars until there is a serious change in Gus or until he leaves!

I started with this school as part of a 141 program with LCCC. Overall the initial experience was exhilarating, but after 10 hours of flight the CFI was very short and rude. As far as the owner is concerned he overbooks his CFI's making their life miserable. The aircraft is very old and tired, rates are far above market value as far as rentals. I paid 190 per hour just for a 152, which had equipment that did not work. Gus is the owner, he only seem to care about making money, everything else comes secondary including how he treats his clients.

I took my business elsewhere.

Great place with a family vibe! Love this place. The owner makes sure that everyone is not only taken care of personally but goes out of his way to make you feel welcomed like no other. And NO, I wasn't bribed to make this statement lol. Seriously, take your business and training here!
