Academy Coffee Haus Review

This used to be a really good cafe. I have called in for lunch today - Thursday - and the place is empty, the service is poor, and the food - when it came - was not what I ordered.

I really could not recommend it based on my experience today.

Lovely staff. Well presented tasty food. Love the Academy Breakfast and their Panini's.

Tortilla Special is great; a big portion of nachos with generous helpings of cheese, guacamole, salsa and sour cream. Very reasonably priced. Soya milk alternative available.

The only reason to visit a Coffee place is for coffee, everything else is distant second. Sadly my only experience with Acadamy was totally undrinkable. The only reason this is a Disliked it review rather than a Hated it review was that the staff responded appropriately - offered to remake (I felt the offering so far from coffee I declined) then would not take my money. Northampton is a disappointment in the coffee area and it scares me that 6 others have given this establishment 5 star reviews.

Cute spot hidden away from the main street noise. Their coffee is acceptable, very good menu. You can sit outside too!

First time for breakfast here, and wasn't disappointed, great breakfast, above average quality, very well cooked and presented. A classy cafe with lovely staff.
