Chic nightclub with mainly RnB & Hip Hop events. Very nice cocktail bar. Experienced and friendly staff and always a good atmosphere!

As a tourist to Amsterdam I was recommended the Abe. Unfortunately, the bouncers at the door are the worst racist lot I have seen in any part of the world. They just did not want me in. So for them I was too drunk to enter. When I asked them to check me with an alcohol meter they said they don't need to. It was their opinion, that's it. Since I had not even had a glass of wine through the day this was nothing but a humiliating, disgusting and unfair experience.

It was fun. I enjoyed it because I was with my girl.

Friendly security guard the doorbitch is more of a doorprincess and the staff very friendly.

The club is OK and it has good musics and nice DJ, with a bar area and a separate side with the dance floor and another bar which opens at midnight. Two VIP areas and a good selection of drinks (they only have ONE beer they offer tho!) Sadly we were confused by the waiters as some of them told us different things about drinks and prices, so depending on who you talk things might be different? Which doesn't make no sense at all. Men were dressed casual, ladies were more edgy with chokers, nice make up and nice casual-ish dresses :)

The behavior of the entry guy was very inappropriate and humiliated. He did't let us in saying that one of our friends looks weird. We asked why then he started to speak rudely with inappropriate words. I wasted my money and time. One of the worst club in Amsterdam. Don t go!

From the outside it doesn't look that special but once you get inside the interior design is gorgeous for a club. The smaller room is where you can best order cocktails and chill. there is a small corner for the DJ.

The main room has one long bar on the side and two VIP area's. There is also the DJ booth which is big enough for multiple DJ's to be there and in front of that a dance floor which isn't that big but big enough. Special side corridor leading to the toilets.

One thing Club ABE needs to work on is the sound system. I don't know if it was down to the engineer or the music quality of the tracks but the sound was horrible.

Hello, Google please provide us 0 review points for these disgusting clubs where people get manhandled.

I am a tourist and also google local guide in France. I have traveled to Amsterdam on 31st December 2018. I am visiting with my 2 male and 2 female friends. We bought 5 tickets of Amsterdam Nightlife ticket. After sight seeing and fireworks for new year celebration, we tried to enter in pub named ABE Club. We stand in front of the club in a long queue for several hrs. Finally we reached the entery point where we manhandled by the gatekeepers. The reason was one of male friend was singing a song in Hindi in front of gatekeepers and they thought he was fully drunk. Also they started mishandling with him. We requested those security guards but they started threatening us.

Now, Kindly let us know what is wrong if a person is singing song if he was not making any nounsence? Is it racism or they just want to stop crowd by threatening people. Have we purchased these ticket to mishandled or enjoy the new year celebration? Earlier also the similar cases was found with this club.You just sale the ticket without knowing the club very well.

So where do I begin ? I wish I could put less than one star for this terrible establishment, because quite frankly, they do not deserve that one star. In summary, I got beat up by the bouncers and humiliated by the staff.
As soon as we arrived, the staff was rude to my friends and I, and they asked us to pay our entrance in cash (not cards) which I think was really weird since in the Netherlands, most payments are made by PIN. I took it a bit on the girl that was hanging the coats and felt bad so decided to apologize five minutes later. When I tried to apologize and said "Sorry I was being rude but..." the girl did not even let me finish my sentence that she said "yeah you were being very rude" with a very condescending voice. I asked why she did not wanted to accept my apology and that she is the one being rude herself. She snapped her fingers and two bouncers came to me and started to grab me violently. Now I am a chill guy of 1m80 that can barely defend myself, was a tall 1m90 dude and another guy necessary ? If you asked me to leave nicely I would have. While I tried to defend myself in panick they started to beat me and hit me in the face and sides of my body as well as in my legs, in front of everybody. Never in my life have I ever been that humiliated. As I was scrolling down the reviews I see that the bouncer who kicked me got some early complaints from other users, thank god that I see there is a picture of the exact same bouncer.

Now I am going back tomorrow or later this week to talk to a manager or the owner and resolve this issue internally. If they don't cooperate I will have to file a complaint to the police against this club. I have been clubbing for 2 years now in various countries and more especially in various clubs in Amsterdam and I have never been treated that direspectfully. It is not because you are a bouncer that you get to beat up people. This is assault not doing your job. It is not your club and it does not give you the right to treat people like trash bags. I was not even that disrepectful to the staff, I just told them they were rude to newcomers.

Club Abe is a high life-style social night club/lounge the interior is detailed with classical theme's interwoven with modern design. From the lighting to the bathroom signs you get a certain "Gatsby meets Amsterdam night life" vibe. Local DJ's and Dutch celebrities often make an appearance at club Abe. The styles of music vary depending on the event taking place but the sounds of modern day hip-hop, R&B, rap and soul are heard in it's walls. The staff is friendly and professional, the jacket lady gives an Abe lighter if she sees you are planning to smoke for example. These luxuries come with a price, the drinks and brands are expensive. Expect a good night when going out in Abe.

Reggaeton and Latin music night. The club was fuuull because club Air next door was shut down.
Really nice sounds from the guest DJs, not so much from the house ones.

The club is divided into a lazy side where you can chat up someone and grab a drink quietly, and a busy loud side where you can dance the night away to some sick beats.

There's free coat rack and everything is clean and proper, totally worth the entry fee.

The drinks are not cheap but they're not crazy expensive. The bad thing is that they ran out of basically everything by 2am which is crazy. Very few drink choices after that.

When I was there it was way too full, it was impossible to dance anywhere.
Later in the night when people started walking out the real party began. Nice Brazilian/Portuguese beats from the guest DJ until the morning, and lots of space to rock it out.

Loved it! Will be back.

Came to this club with a group of friends and honestly it was the most awkward club ever. It was as though the people at the club could tell that we were from London. The amount of stares we got and pushes was unbelievable. Ended up leaving the club early and would not be going back there again . The capacity for the club should change as it was too PACKED. Price to get into the club is also overpriced for how it was and the drinks were 16- 18 which was just ridiculous. Expected better but maybe it was just that particular club.

The interior of the club is astonishing and also the service is very good.
I would recommend this club to anyone who wants to go out in Amsterdam.

We went there as a party of 10 guys in the context of a bachelor party. We had emailed management beforehand, stated that we would like to come by as a group of 10 men, and asked them if it would possible to enter and what the conditions would be. They told us a reservation was possible and that each person had to pay a fixed amount of money, with a certain amount of bottles of liquor and mix drink guaranteed, (I don't remember exactly, but it was between 60-80 euros per person). We agreed on that and confirmed it weeks in advance.

When we arrived in Amsterdam and wanted to enter the club, we went up to the door and promptly were rejected by the bouncers. They were very hostile (none of us was drunk and we all wore fancy clothing) and told us that we could not enter the club because there were already too many men inside. After we informed them about the reservation, the female door manager checked the records and confirmed the reservation, but told us that a reservation did not mean we would get in. The funny thing was that directly before us they let in 2 guys who came in normal street clothing, but absolutely refused us.

We called the club manager with whom we had discussed the terms of the reservation, and she told us that the bouncers at the door were not operating in accordance with management. She apologized for the inconvenience, guaranteed us entry and offered us several free bottles of champagne if we decided to come back.

However, the mood in our group was thorougly destroyed by the behavior of these bouncers and despite several calls with the manager, who was really nice, respectful, and tried her best, we could not agree on going back to a club that treated us in this manner.

As a result of this experience I cannot recommend this club to anyone.
They knew that we had made a reservation, yet failed to control the door and make sure that there would be enough room for the people they knew would be coming. The bouncers were very unfriendly and outright condescending to us while we did our best to remain civil and friendly. We had made the reservation precisely because we did not want to gamble on getting through the door and because we knew about the problematic of trying to enter a club as 10 guys. But everything we did in advance proved to be in vain.

I have been to many clubs in places all over the world but i have never been treated this way. I will never come back to this club and I felt like I should inform others about their practices here to prevent them from having a similar experience.

Bad gala .. Security did not leave the door ajar for draft. Very stuffy inside. Despite the age of majority, it is mandatory to stay indoors.

Low level club, nothing special very small and the drinks are expensive and the music really bad!!
