Life at Abbey Delray North is the home away from the home I once had. From the sales force, especially Norris & Danielle, to the entire staff, they made me feel welcomed. The residents are first on their minds to make life peaceful & happy. I joined a friendly group of residents & we enjoy all the activities that Abbey arranges (and there are many). Come enjoy Abbey Life - it s great!

Abbey Delray has been my home for almost 15 years. WHEN MY HUSBANDS health began to fail, we started looking for a place where we could continue to live a full life and also have the care he would need. We visited many communities, but Abbey had the nicest residents who were so welcoming it seemed like home . I feel very fortunate to be living here.
What s to like about Abbey Delray? All of it! It lives up to its motto Have a GREAT day in Abbey Delray! Having been here 15 years, I have only one regret, I SHOULD HAVE COME SOONER! My coming to Abbey at 68 enabled my working until I decided to retire at 84. GREAT SERVICE! I believe in this lifestyle, so much so that I have brought in 7 new residents from my former neighborhood; a referral fee is offered to the resident each time a friend moves in. As an Independent Living resident, I have needed Personal Services and RehabCare, both in-house providers; they were immediately available for the short-term I required. During COVID-19: Abbey provided meal delivery 24/7 to the apartments and villas, from individual-selected menus. Abbey set up many live stream programs on its in-house channel, to continue to challenge the mental and physical needs of its residents. Abbey offered an additional service of grocery orders from outside providers. EVERY DAY YOU AREN T AT ABBEY, YOU ARE MISSING OUT!
I have lived at Abbey Delray for 17 years with my late wife. The people have always been very nice and we have always been taken care of. The nurses are transparent about my care and know what they are doing. I cannot say enough about the aides here- Augustine, Nadine, Betty - they are all amazing. My favorite person is Nicole because she helps me with zoom calls to see my family and anything I need she helps me with.
Before coming to Abbey, my son toured the center and knew I would love it here that he handpicked my room. My room has a garden view that I look at every day and it is my favorite thing about my room. I have to also say, Terence, the chaplain, has really gotten to know me and knows how important and involved I am in my religion. He is always inviting me to services, which I go to weekly. Nikki in activities also includes me in things I would like to do. She invites me to Resident Council Meetings and I feel like we accomplish a lot of things. It s a really upbeat group and everyone is very involved.
During hurricanes and this pandemic, I feel very safe at Abbey Delray. When I first came, I loved it immediate. The grounds are very nice and the people were very kind. Whoever I met, the staff and the residents, were so nice. It felt like paradise. I also have a gorgeous apartment. They have the best apartments here. Abbey Delray helps me whenever I need it. I feel like I m very happy here because I get to share my art and talents during activities. The warmth and the acceptance I feel living at Abbey Delray is phenomenal. I m very glad I chose to make this move.
If I could give this place NO STARS I would!!! My Dad was transferred to Abbey Delray North after a hospital stay because of a fall. My father has Vascular Dementia and a very bad heart. Because of the Dementia he has inappropriate behavior which is a common symptom of men with Dementia. He was there about a week and we were suppose to have a care plan meeting with the staff. Well the day before the meeting I get a phone saying the meeting has been cancelled because my Dad is no longer in the building...... WHAT? I had no idea how to react because NO ONE CALLED US WHEN THEY SENT HIM TO THE HOSPITAL AT 6PM THE NIGHT BEFORE. So it's 3:00pm the next day and that's how I found out my Dad was in the hospital. These people DON'T CARE about your loved ones or the families. This place is a complete joke!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My father was placed in the rehabilitation memory care unit. The people there do NOT answer their phones or return messages. I picked up my father 5 hours after dropping him off. I was completely disappointed in this place. When you can t reach a secretary, a nurse, or anyone, you do NOT trust the place. My dad reported he sat for 3 hours before a meal or drink were offered to him. Also, when I picked him up, they still did NOT have his medicine.
My experience at Abbey Delray as a new Sales Counselor so far has been amazing! My fellow team members are extremely supportive, friendly and eager to help. The residents are happy, involved and like family. Our Executive Director and Home Office (corporate) is accessible, encouraging and are true leaders. I am lucky to be able to say I work at Abbey Delray!!
When choosing a retirement home, I'm so very glad I chose Abbey Delray. Not only have they brought me food every day during this pandemic, but they've tended to my needs in other ways. They've helped me with my dogs, delivered packages from my loved ones. The service from all of the team members here have been wonderful. I can't stay enough about the dining room staff who are deliver our food every day. they make me feel better just by seeing them. I thought I did alright when choose Abbey Delray, but I really did better than alright. Abbey Delray is doing a fantastic job! I'm very glad I live here.
. I made a decision that it was time to go into an independent living facility and checked out several places, and chose Abbey Delray North.
From the first time I entered the premises, though it was raining, I felt genuine warmth from the many people who offered their support in making me feel at home. On that first day, I was introduced to several members of the staff and was treated exceptionally well by all.
When I decided on the apartment I wanted to occupy, the process was explained in great detail and I was treated with the utmost respect. The entire process was explained to me in detail and though it seemed a bit overwhelming, I was assured that they would be there to explain and re-explain the details.
My niece and her daughter came with me and we were all extremely impressed at the cleanliness, the accommodations, the efficiency, and the exceptional care given to us. We were fortunate to be able to enjoy a meal while we were there and I must admit, from that day to the present, I have enjoyed every meal prepared and the menu choices are designed to be acceptable to everyone s palate.
Even to the move itself, they suggested I use a company called Organize 2 Minimize and everything was taken care exceptionally well. The president of the company came to my home to measure and take pictures of what furniture would be moved, they were punctual on the day of the move, and not only did they pack all of my belongings, they unpacked as well and put every item in the place where it was before they moved it. What a wonderful service they provided and I give accolades to all the personnel involved in the process.
I am now moved in and their attention to detail and concern has not ceased. It feels as if they are still laying down the red carpet and believe they will continue to be a part of making sure that my every need is attended to.
As a more than satisfied resident of Abbey Delray I have never regretted my decision to make my move from California here. I came here with my husband who unfortunately entered into the Health Center here immediately. He was well taken care of!! I immediately became very active here in our community. You couldn't ask for friendlier people, they make you feel at home. You can find something to do every day, from book clubs to our singing group, discussion groups, and entertainment that is first caliber, we have exercise, and art classes, people play duplicate bridge, Mah Jonng, and Canasta.. There are Saturday night movies, or once a month we have socials with music and dancing, I'm sure I left out things that are offered here.. You can do as much or as little as you want. If you're thinking of a Retirement community, give a big thought to Abbey Delrayl!!!
After several disappointing experiences with at home health aid services, my wife and I began searching for a location to relocate were we could enter as independent living and remain close as my wife s Parkinson s Plus disease progressed and/or I could no longer provide the necessary level of care-giver support and health care she requires. After researching CCRC (Continued Care Retirement Communities) and visiting several locations we selected Abbey Delray because of the size (not too big or small), an ability to remain throughout the potential range of health care needs such as assisted living, memory care and nursing care, range of optional personal services offered and the plans for facility renovation and amenity improvements. The biggest reason for our selection of Abbey Delray was the friendliness of both the residents and staff that we did not see at other locations. The massive renovation project is at last nearly at an end and looks great and the friendliness of residents and staff remains unchanged even under the trying circumstances we all are currently facing. I would highly recommend Abbey Delray to anyone considering a CCRC environment.
I can honestly attest to the friendly and caring staff. It is a community from all aspects. The staff and residents have longevity. Something that is rare in most communities. It is a pleasure to see so many happy faces and to know they are enjoying their life at Abbey Delray.
Excellent! 10 plus stars! The aides were absolutely fantastic! The nurse Pauline was terrific and Dr. Duhaney was very knowledgeable. The two therapists, Jaime and Dave, that I had were excellent and knew that they were doing. I m very surprised that the food was so terrific and the cakes were fabulous. The staff knew that I liked two cups of coffee and they always brought it to me. I am overall very impressed and had a great stay.
Dining room people need to wear gloves. They stick their fingers inside the glasses and cups. They also ignore you at times.x took my friend out of there because his blood pressure went down to 63/36. It kept getting lower and lower. He ended up in hospital. I would never recommend Abbey North.
The community and team are super. They are very friendly and people you can trust. The Executive Director Mark and the sales team really answered all of my questions. When I make my final decision Abbey Delray will be the place.
Abbey Delray is very fortunate to have such a loving and compassionate team of employees. They give superior care and they have done some beautiful renovations for the residents to enjoy. Highly recommended!
Abbey Delray is a fantastic place to work! The leadership team is supportive and every day is a good day. I really enjoy working for Abbey Delray and Lifespace Communities!
This is the worst rehab place. They should be shut down. They abused my mother. The very next day from when she was admitted, she had a black eye. They took away her button to call for help because they said she pushed it to often. So if in the middle of the night she was having chest pains, they would have just let her die. I would call and hear all the patients screaming for someone to come to help them. Don t put anyone you love in this horrible place
I thank my lucky stars every day to have a roof over my head and such a beautiful room at Abbey Delray Assisted Living. There are such nice, nice people who work here. I have lived at Abbey Delray for 15 years with no complaints.
I write this to you and all your staff members. we want you to know how much we appreciate your efforts. we know this is a difficult time and if there is anything we can do to make it easier, we will try to do that. we especially want to thank waiters and waitresses who make the deliveries. be assured you have our fullest support.
I recently spent a week at Abbey Delray caring for my Mother-in-law after surgery .... I was amazed at how caring and friendly everyone I came in contact was. Wagih Moawad paid her a visit and went out of his way to make sure she was well fed ! Security ( the gate people) inquired daily about her well being & were very helpful getting us a wheelchair to use. Rosa in housekeeping was very friendly & flexible with her schedule to clean my MIL apartment. Speaking with Tammy on the phone reassured me that if she needed any help during her recovery there were services available. I was impressed that Amin Sanaia the Executive Director stopped by to check in....it's reassuring to have such support !
