Top seafood in a cozy atmosphere. Restaurant is located in middle of neighborhood and has strong family/community vibes. Menu is limited which I find great - they do a few things and they do it well. Interior is rustic, with a 1980s local restaurant feel. Food was tasty and quick.
Had a ~15min wait and was treated to complementary glass of wine. Unsure if this is the standard.

This might very well me favorite neighborhood restaurant of all time. We moved to the Richmond back in November, but even back then I knew this is one place I really wanted to try. I m a huge seafood fan and I love local spots. This is one of those Neighborhood institutions that everyone knows and loves and I love it here so much.
We came on a Thursday and there was a little bit of a line but the wait wasn t long at all. I think we waited all of 10 minutes before we were sat. Bread, water and wine came to the table shortly after.
The menu is simple and the specials are already written on the chalkboard.
My girlfriend had the scallops and I had the snapper in the pouch. Both were absolutely delicious but the scallops were perfection. Love that west coast clam chowder is served here.
The service is warm and attentive. You can tell that the people who live here come all the time and the owners take time to know their patrons. This is one of those spots in San Francisco that are slowly disappearing. I hope pacific cafe stays around forever. I absolutely will be making an effort to become a regular here.
A wonderful place for fresh fish. Tasty well prepared food, generous portions and a warm inviting environment. One of my favorite restaurants in San Francisco.

This is an excellent restaurant! I had the stuffed trout and it was delicious. The fish was moist, tender and the skin a breaded crispy delight. The atmosphere was cozy and friendly. The staff was attentive and service was fast. This will definitely be the seafood stop for me when I'm in the city.
My girlfriend and I came here tonight to celebrate our one year together and the meal was absolutely perfect. She ordered scallops with garlic butter and I got abalone. It was both of our first times trying abalone and it was very very good. And the scallops that she ordered were absolutely delicious. We've been here once before to celebrate our 8 months and loved the restaurant then and we were incredible impressed by this meal as well. The food was incredibly good and equally stuffing(we couldn't help ourselves), the server was very friendly and we even got to chat with him for a bit and found out that he's worked there for 44 years, and the 70's vibe inside of the restaurant is very calming and cozy. We had such a perfect meal on this perfect day and we can't wait to come back again and again!!
Amazing Local Seafood Dive spot! Local feel, Quaint and very clean and gorgeous interior! Absolutely delicious as well. From there homemade bread to there desert it was phenomenal!
