Service and location get 4 stars. Food is just ok = 3 stars

This is one of the most unique places, let alone restaurants in the valley, if not anywhere. I love sitting outside on the patio, watching the sunset, and enjoying the planes take off and land. I highly recommend coming for Sunday or Saturday brunch. They have an amazing buffet with seafood, omelettes and bottomless mimosas, etc. Amazing for kids as they'll surely enjoy watching the airplanes. You can even listen to the control tower with the head sets at a lot of the inside tables. Once we saw a firefighting helicopter take off; it was a sight, and sound, to behold!

First we went for the buffet the web page give Wrong information they give you the price of the other restaurant, and you got the surprise bill at the end. Ask first how much don t end it up with a $350 bill

Cool place for events and watching planes taking off from Van Nuys airport.

Ambiance gets 4 stars, restaurant was not what I was expecting, my friend and order clam chowder soup, it was Kyle warmed my friend said it tasted like metal, they change it for French onion soup which I love. Again barley warmed .our precious waiter heat it up for us .thank God for him.he was good

Yummy food, bartender makes a perfect martini. Fun watching the planes and jets coming in and out. A sweet throwback. Great patio, and wonderful brunch. Eady parking. A hidden gem.

If you love airplanes and local airports you can t beat this place. Service was very nice. Food is what you d expect for a view restaurant. Decor is very fun. easy parking too.

I have not been here in year, great nostalgic place. It replicates a bombed out village house in WWII. The atmosphere is very fun and champagne brunch is great, but a little pricey at $50 a pop. Enjoy but be prepared for the bill. It is right on the runway at Van Nuys Airport.

We held a memorial luncheon here on a Sunday and it was so perfect. The staff was very attentive and helpful. We needed to borrow an HDMI cable which they had on hand. The buffet was amazing. I loved the cast iron dishware used for the buffet items. None if those usual boring rectangular chafing dishes that caterers use - these were classic and fitting to the theme of the restaurant.

Ok, first the food was great as usual!
Next and more important or at least as important is the service. Samantha, you are AMAZING!!!!! You are what all people with any responsibility to customer service should strive to be.

I celebrated my birthday yesterday in this delicious restaurant. I am glad to say that we enjoyed a fantastic evening and the restaurant was certainly one of the reasons for that outstanding celebration. The waiters helped in a gorgeous style, the meals were very good and my friends were extremely delighted. We shall surely visit again for more celebrations. thanks very much.

Such a fun spot! Somewhat hidden but well worth the search. Friendly staff, great food, and the kids had a blast. Highly recommend to anyone, kids or no kids!

It was a real treat to go there and it's a fantastic themed restaurant. We had fun and a great view from an indoor table that looked directly out to the runways. And to top it off the food and service was excellent!!!

Good place. Few employers company parties receive better attention than our party of two.

Went for a banquet. Eighty people. Food was hot and delicious. Service was very good too.

Love this place! Great atmosphere, and pretty darn good food too. We went for a Sunday brunch buffett and the variety and quality of good food was excellent! Staff was friendly.

Portions are great for sharing, and wide range on the menu. Just a charming spot for a meal, or meet up for a drink later in the day.

It's just something about drinking a nice strong drink and watching planes land and takeoff... You can't get that anywhere else

Very nice view of landing strip. Food excellent and awesome to sit outside and enjoy the outdoors while watching flights take off. Nice at night but no activity at airport to see.

The food as always was delicious. We always try the special for the day so we always try something new.

The price is way up there. I mean $30 steak dinners and $21 shrimp and crab salad. However the service is excellent and the food taste really good. Plenty of seating to go around so no issues with having a full restaurant and waiting to be seated. You must try the fillet minion it is cooked perfectly.

Loved this restaurant, lots of old military and aviation memorabilia. Great outdoor seating area, big enough for a large reception. Has large free parking lot, and sits.next to van nuts airport runways. Very nice, shade trees, a short distance off 405 frwy and Roscoe.

Had a excellent experience in here with my kid. The food comes out quick and the customer service is just fantastic. Prices are affordable.

94th Aero Squadron Restaurant, is an amazing place . I love coming here with my veterans friends. The service is lovely and their food is delicious.

Have been here a couple times and the food is really good the atmosphere is great because you can see the airplanes at the airport while eating or having drinks the service is OK.

Tried to have event there and they didn't call me back. That was over 2 months ago. They called me the other day asked if I was still interested. I said you never called me back so I can't trust you with my event.

The Good: great atmosphere and experience I really enjoyed the Decor and the location. Having dinner on the flight line was fantastic and made the experience worth it.

The Bad: the worst part of the experience was the food and the service. There were times we did not see a waiter for 30 minutes. We had a party of nine or 10 and it did not seem to be overwhelming but we did not get any attention that evening. The restaurant was empty the patio had three large groups and we were not served well. We had to hunt down the server and asked to cash out. After that we paid one by one, individually, standing in line.
The food was mediocre at best and when it came out it was cold. I m not sure if this was a bad night or the staff was being trained but it was not the experience I was hoping for.

Beautiful setting, wonderful bar, but who serves ONE crab cake as an appetizer for $16.95? We're in Van Nuys, not Beverly Hills. Service is generally subpar though friendly. They could use an extra server.

I recall in November I went with some friends on Sunday afternoon to have drinks. A friend wasn't doing well, and asked if she could have some bread (that would be paid for, of course). They told her the only option was to pay for the Sunday brunch for around $50/person, which ended in an hour. We finally got some saltines after begging but we were treated like a bother.

After that incident and the cheapest crab cakE tonight, maybe I won't go back, regardless of the nice decor (in a drab area) and decent food. The stinginess isn't worth the effort!

Fine, took a long time to get food, large group, waiter was nervous and out of balance even though we brought cash which made everyone uncomfortable.

Nice place for lunch, not too crowded. Food is average and so is service. Happy hour lacks attentiveness, and staff is not as engaged. This place would be wonderful with the right management touch.

A diamond in the rough for sure. This one of a kind restaurant provides a unique experience for all ages, with the WWI and WWII military memorabilia displayed throughout, and the restaurant designed to appear like a WWII European villa. They have a beautiful patio to watch planes takeoff an land with firepits strategically located the length of the patio. They also offer live entertainment. We had the pleasure of seeing Rat Pack Ricky perform. The food is delicious; however, on busy nights the service can be a bit challenged. That's the reason for the four stars rather than five.

This is a hidden gem that I never knew existed. Food and ambiance great. Modest prices. Really a throwback to the 50s with all the right touches.

Great service and great food. The views are amazing right next to the runway. This is an absolute must if you're into aviation. They even have a reserved table for pilots! The venue is pretty massive as well. Great for evening drinks as well.

Its pricey but decent. The servers were very attentive and you have a great view of the planes taking off

Really "tucked into" a corner of Van Nuys, this former French mini-mansion, complete with a bombed out side, is an appealing, important reminder of WWII. The view of the airfield is worth the trip. The food is decent, as is the service with regulars at the bar obviously the most welcome.

Not only did the bartender, Junior, do an amazing job as a bartender, he also helped deliver a baby at the same time!!! A quality drink, a smile and a new child!!! All in a days work. This place breathes life, literally. Go there and give Junior a pat on the back! Or should I say,
"DR JunioR."

Great burger, excellent service, nice place. I feel bad for the ducks in their pond though bc of the airplane noise.

My husband and I were very excited to go here, this was a gift from my mom for Valentines Day and our Anniversary, parking was a night mare, our server came over immediately to get my drink order and then vanished, service was horrible, our server was way too busy, they told us at first there were no water glasses, huh? Twenty minutes until ! Our server actually tried to get our order before our drinks were even made We both ordered Prime Rib, it was absolutely delicious when it finally came! If we go back it would be during the day with a reservation! I was a server for 40 years, my husband says it s because he had too many tables, rule #1 give the customer a cocktail right away and usually they will be happy! Thanks for listening

Our service was awful, the food was dry, hard and cold. And for all of that I paid $50.00 dollars a person.
Needless to say we will not be going back.
It used to be good...I don't know what happened.

We had a high school reunions nap. It's a very cool cool place for an event. Probably one of the best in the valley! And the food was good to boot :-)

Wonderful location. Good food and great service. It's literally adjacent to the Van Nuys Airport where it gets a ton of airplane and helicopter traffic. We saw over 50 take offs/ landings in just over an hour.

We ordered the chicken and it was very tasty. The portions are generous and it came with mashed potatoes and vegetables.

My only critique is that the inside of the restaurant is a bit dated. I know some of it is related to the theme and desired theme of the place, but some stuff is just plain old. I'm still not holding it against them, that's why I kept it a 5 out of 5.

Cool location & decor, terrible food. Soup was lukewarm and tasted like water with some grease in it. Sandwich may have been sourced from a garbage can. Rotten vegetables in the salad. Staff was nice and they took rotten salad off the bill and offered free desert, but I did not want to take chances. Won't return.

This month has. Great fixed menu. I always forget how much fun this place is also a nice place for a date upstairs in the menu. The event room is also excellent

this place would be cool as museum, a bar, or a restaurant, but it's all three! the antiquities adorning the walls are eye-catching and authentic. the classic building and its patio are less than twenty feet from an active airport runway. this is fun to watch while eating, but don't be surprised when jet engines occasionally interrupt conversations. the food is perfectly prepared and delicious. there are many types of food to satisfy all pallets, even children. the service is respectful, capable, and knowledgeable. attire can be dressed up or dressed down. not busy on weeknights. I will definitely return next time I am in town!

Food was great as usual. Service was severely lacking. Our server was frazzled ( it was not busy ) didn't know the specials or even the password to get on wifi. We'll be back, but maybe a little training for the staff??

My family has been going to the 94th for 40 years -we LOVE it. However, I would like to give special thanks to the Banquet Manger, Roxanne, for helping me plan a memorial luncheon for my Father in the bar room on Sat, Jan 19, 2019. It was an amazing event and our guests loved the room, service and food. I ordered pin-wheel sandwiches and appetizers for a party of 40 and we had a cash bar. It worked out great -Thank You!!!

The ambiance is incredible. We have been dining here off and on since it began. The food is pretty good for a restaurant with a gimmick. Miss the old days though when the "waiting area"was downstairs and there was a silent movie theater with free popcorn and happy hour price drinks. You really need to give this a try!

Walk through the doors into a small European village in the early 1940's. Outside, there may be a world in turmoil, but, here, you can enjoy a moment of civility and camaraderie as you watch the comings and going of the local airport.

The food and service are great. The private rooms and patios make this ideal for personal gatherings. PS... they are thematic too!

This is obviously one of the finest place in the neighborhood. Every time I come to this place I am so glad. They maintain their high standard service and the topmost level of dishes they provide. You no doubt will love this restaurant. Warmly recommended.

94th sits in my closet like a comfortable shoe. Consistent good food, good wines, like the theme atmosphere although it does need a refresh and a excellent outdoor Sunday brunch watching the planes take off and land. Prime Rib and a bottle of Volte Sante, a must.

What a lovely experience! Good food, good service and interesting decor. We say by the window and watched the planes come and go.

My first visit with my son. Excellent service and very friendly and kind staff! Especially very kind to the children. Food was really good, too! Expectations were beyond exceeded!

Very upsetting what's happening to this place. I was introduced to this location from a friend and fell in love with it years ago. The history of the location as well as the quality of the food during the Sunday buffets was amazing. My father, who served in the military, loved this location as well and has since become our Father's Day location to visit. Our last visit in 2018 was very disappointing though as we saw the cleanliness and the quality of food decline and the employees confusion and disorganization increase. It really is a shame as both my father and I love this place.

A private event feel in a public setting. Nothing like it in all of Los Angeles, in a good way. Delicious food and spectacular view.

Eat good food inside or on a huge patio. And watch international planes to little one person planes taxi ready takeoff and land. I'm a young man and it felt like I was a child again watching this. Hey there is a observatory area in walking distance from this awesome restaurant. This is a magical place.

It was very historical looking. A nice place to impress your history teacher with. It is really tasty, and their bread is delicious!

We came to this restaurant for dinner. we heard about this restaurant from quite a few people. Well, it was very nice. The crew were extremely nice and we felt good. The meal was fresh and delicious. We had a great time and we will definitely return to this restaurant. Recommended.
