We just visited Dickerson Bay in Antigua for our 10th time and have never seen so many stray, sick, Downtrodden dogs!!! This has always been an ongoing problem for the Island over the years, but this time was the worst we've ever seen it! Nothing is being done to help or fix it!!! My wife got surrounded by 7 Male dogs walking on the street; fortunately nothing bad happened. Even in town sitting in a restaurant dogs everywhere! Most of them crippled, hungry and sick!!! I love dogs, even adopted one from Antigua 5 years ago and have three of my own; but this is sooo sad and potentially a very dangerous situation! I'm done going to Antigua unless the island powers to be fix this ongoing problem!!!!!

Great island. Lovely people.

Great island. Lovely people.

Definitely need a car to get around. Buses are few and far between. Be prepared to sit on a bus until it is full before it will leave. Even if that takes an hour!

Beaches are amazing. I bought bug spray but the one I bought here called OFF is brilliant.

Place boasts over 365 beaches, one for each day of the year.. problem is not all are great. Having said that we had a great time, stayed in all you can eat/drink hotel and had a great time. St Johns is a little run down

Antigua is my second home...I love the atmosphere, the scenic landscape and the warm friendly people.....food don't talk about the pepper pot, rice pudding, fungi, and sowce, don't know how to spell it. The culture, horse racing and car racing. Every year I make Antigua and Barbuda my choice for my vacation.

A must visit. There's hundreds of beaches...365 to be exact according to the locals. You drive on the left side, drinking in the street is allowed, the nightlife goes sometime until 6 in the morning and the weather is amazing. Definitely recommend you visit at least once!

A real Caribbean pearl of those to be dreamed of repeatedly. Incredible sea and beautiful beaches .. with an always favorable climate. Unfortunately it has become a destination highly sought after by international tourists which is why it is very crowded especially during the end of year holidays. Prices have risen a lot too, but there is little for you. Every sport activity related to the sea can be practiced with great satisfaction, the same that those who simply seek complete relaxation experience.
