Came to the 1938 Brewing company not expecting much. This place is amazing and here is why.
The decor was beautiful, subtle and intimate without being too dark. The hostess was friendly and knowledgable on the beers available and our waitress Carol Ann was humorous and engaging. The food was wonderfully flavorful and the only question left on my mind was, why didnt we come here sooner.
A definite recommend

The pastrami pub burger MUST stay on the menu! So good! Must try the flight to find your favorite beer, Must taste Sophisticated Lady Porter, it was so smooth and tasty, my favorite from the flight. Second favorite was Strongman Amber. This was our first time here and Cole was our waiter, 5 star service from him. Must try this place!

Atmosphere was nice, staff was super friendly, beers was cold and really good, food exceptional. I had the street tacos while my husband had fish and chips...both dishes really good and filling so you know it was real food. I didn't try their brews but I did have a delicious pear cider my husband had the Patriot from 1933 that was really good as well. Will definitely be back to try their lunch specials, their club sandwich and definitely their grn chili cheeseburger! Nice change, great place, really good food and great beer!

Surprisingly delicious food that tastes even better than it looks. We tried a few burgers as well as a plate of shrimp & grits and were happy with all of them. The fries could use some crisping up, but that's about it. Each item had it's own flavor profile and were prepared well and enjoyable. The staff was friendly and attentive. There seemed to be a decent selection of local beers, but we didn't partake that night.

Beer was good food kinda sucks. Went Wednesday 5/29 and got food to go and a pint at the bar, cooks took a long time, our server had to stand at the kitchen window asking for the food for it to come out. Got carne asado tacos, meet was dry and old, sauces bad. Side of mac and cheese, sauce was broken and tasteless. Food took about 25-30 min, long for tacos side of Mac and soup. Bartender was nice the porter was very good and my wife will be back for the Hefe but we will eat before going.

Awesome service, great selection of local beer on tap, and yummy food. Our party of 4 each had something different and everyone really enjoyed their meals. Portions were plentiful (my daughter and I both brought home half our sandwiches for lunch tomorrow). There was no wait for early dinner on Saturday but I'm guessing that will change as more people discover this great local spot.

First time here since they took over from fat squirrel. Staff was friendly and seated us immediately. Orders were taken quickly. There was a bit of a wait for the food which was surprising since the place was empty. Immediately when the food arrived I noticed the Mac and cheese had that sat under the heat lamp look. Thankfully once mixed it was okay. It tasted good, though the portion was not very big, think about what you get from a box of kraft- not very big, and especially for the price. It left me hungry and wanting more food. The real complaint we had was with the $20 steak. It was supposed to be 10oz, the sliver of meat that arrived was no more than 6oz. We left hungry. We were so hungry we actually left and went for a second dinner. The food at 1933 tastes good, it s just small portions- and we felt cheated with the steak size which was not as big as advertised, so that has left us questioning returning.
