unfortunately had a very disappointing experience ...

unfortunately had a very disappointing experience despite several friends suggesting i should get new tires at the dealership. when i walked in i overhead another customer, direct qoute "i dont mean any disrespect...i love BMWs but i hate the customer support"....interesting...my situation turned out as follows:...i had a confirmed appointment which i'd made online for 10am for 4 new tires and an alignment (i had the print out on me)...i got there at 9:30am and it seemed they did not have me in the system because they flipped through the sheet for the day and didnt find my name...then they and asked me if i knew if they had the tires in stock (ok....i said i dont know)...and then after a short wait quoted a significantly higher price for the tires and regular full cost on the alignment (despite seeing my print out with the appointment and quote for the tires and a special on the alignment). they also said i would need an oil change and new brake fluid (which is not needed for another month or more at least, but i appreciate the heads up). after i brought all this to their attention, they conferred, then offered the original price and said the car would be done at 12:30p.... they were done at 2:30p (probably because they did not have me down for an appointment and there were other cars ahead of me), i was handed my keys, no apologies, and also told that i would need a $1400 repair on a suspension component which did not allow them to align one of the front tires appropriately (no real explanation given) .....not sure i will be coming back...i have had audis in the past, and the experience at those dealerships has been much better....two stars because i do like the new tires and they did a good job on the change....
