Martin Guitars are extremely inexpensive!
I'm the original owner of a DC16-GTE (serial number 720,000 made around the 100th anniversary of Martin) and purchased it 7,124 days ago of the writing of this review. Financially it equates to $.0015 per day of ownership, lol.
The sound of this guitar just gets better over time. The resonance was present when I purchased it but has enhanced as the years have passed. Can't beat hardwood Martin guitars, they are beyond comparison . No splits, cracks, neck warping, or damage to the finish after twenty years, this is proof of quality and craftsmanship this company puts out.
The only care I have taken with this guitar other than string changes is keeping it in it's case when not playing and using a inexpensive sound hole humidifier because I live in a desert region.
How many things last for twenty years and get better? Not many, great job Martin and thank you for providing me years of satisfaction.
