Stefan Schmitz Review of LEGOLAND Billund Resort

Legoland ....... I connect a lot with the name Lego. So I was really looking forward to this park.
Let's start at the front. The park is located DIRECTLY at Billund Airport. Not bad but loud. You practically park next to the planes.
Entry. The prices are quite high at just under 55 euros. There is no discount for children. All pay the same .... About a lego membership, there are now and then discount vouchers you should definitely have.
The entrance. At 10 o'clock go. Yes, we were here during the holidays. The inlet took about 30 minutes. Bags are checked in two places. Not in the middle of the junk ... What that opens up to me is not revealed.
In the park one then enters the Lego Cities area. Beautifully built Lego cities. But now also quite worn and getting old.
The rides .. are partially decorated with Lego. I would have expected more here. Almost all rides are standard stores that have been renamed. Here, the Wild Mouse drives as safari cars, etc. Unfortunately, you are everywhere quite a long time on average 30 minutes and longer. The following trip usually takes less than 1 minute. The blast the Polar roller coaster. Rather a cuddly round trip with a felt 30 seconds duration.
What bothers me the most but the plants .. The Lego figures (to see in the Drachenbahn especially) are felt for years not cleaned. Here is the dirt inches high on it. Some hand and fingerprints give it an idea. And here are figures behind glass !!
Eat Drink. Very expensive. A cotton candy 7 . A scoop of ice cream (rather big) as well. There is also food in an all you can eat restaurant including soft drinks for about 35 euros per person children half. I can not say anything about that. Everything else on the chips menu level of the poorer kind and expensive.
A conclusion. Young children up to 10 think I like it very much. Older people who enjoy rides will be disappointed. The park itself is reasonably clean but looks worn in many places. The staff are friendly but not enough. The prices are worth it in no case. A pity because the name Lego has so much to lose. I would not visit the park again.
