Honestly, the only thing this hotel really has going for it is its location. If you need to be somewhere downtown that is close, it will do the job. But, barely. And, also, it's relatively cheap.

But, it shows. They have obviously worked hard to try and give it a facelift. But, you can only put so much lipstick and make-up on a pig.

The rooms are tiny. The bathrooms are tinier. And, everywhere you look you can see signs of what they were trying to cover up with the facelift.

I wanted to give it three stars but just couldn't do it. I stay at a lot of hotels for work, and have stayed and lot of "3-star hotels". This one just isn't up to snuff.

Do yourself a favor and just stay at the Westin or the Kimpton. Trust me, you'll be glad you did.

On the plus side, the staff was very friendly and the Lodge restaurant below was actually pretty good.
