Our 25 year old home furnace/air conditioning syst...

Our 25 year old home furnace/air conditioning system needed to be replaced. In May 2013, we considered Gold Medal and two other companies. A Gold Medal representative did a complete inspection of the home including the amount of insulation in the attic. The other companies strictly looked at the current system and assessed an equivalent replacement. When the proposals were received, Gold Medal s proposal was the most thorough and the most expensive. Gold Medal experts are knowledgeable about the combination of physical requirements necessary to be eligible for the various rebate programs. As a result, with their counsel, we were eligible for a rebate that provided us a more efficient system and with a rebate adjusted price comparable to the other two proposals. We choose Gold Medal. During the installation phase, we ran into a couple of very irritating equipment malfunctions. In each case, I contacted the sales representative Mike S. Although he is Gold Medal s employee, he acted as my advocate listening intently to my input. Being involved with any project, there is always a chance for something to go wrong. It is the measure of a business that when something does go wrong, what do they do about it. In every case Mike was not defensive or looked to blame someone or something else, but looked for a solution satisfactory to us. Our last issue was an electrical problem and through Mike s action, electrician Matt was sent to address the issue. He found a loose ground wire in our main panel which had absolutely nothing to do with Gold Medal s work. In spite of that, Matt fixed the problem and advised me the service call was no charge.
I highly recommend Gold Medal for its knowledge, its service, and its professionalism.
