I am not usually one to review things, but this company has poor customer service and horrible ethics. I have been in contact with the Fetzner contacts of this company. I was told it was a law that even though I make enough to afford the apartment income requirements my co-applicant doesn't so they can't rent to me. I asked why and how does this work in situations where the person can't work or is a stay at home parent. My question was glossed over as you must be married. From my expierance from leasing, if you sign the lease you are legal responsible for the lease, correct? So if we both sign the lease, we are both responsible for lease violations. According to this company, no you have to be married. The two contacts I have been talking to both said apply without the second applicant (this is when the company flagged my application) and then told me on the phone, if we find you have someone else we will ask for their income and kick you out if they don't meet income requirements. I asked on the phone what if they can't work right now, their response we need a letter of intent to start working with a start date. Because I couldn't get a straight answer to most of my questions and this law, I contacted a lawyer. The lawyer stated this is not a law. It may be policy, not a law. I would have been fine if they just said this is our policy, but they did not. They stated it was a law. I really was hoping for this apartment as it is close to my place of employment, but I am glad I didnt get it as these people are not easy to work with or get answers out of even before renting, I can't imagine after.
