Devasted experience here at the Ford store at San Leandro , California!
My car had an crazy experience Monday June 29th, 2020.
I just got the car this February and at work I started the car up to leave on my 1 hour lunch break. A censor left side kept peeping
"Brakes malfunction fix soon."
And on my bottom right corner was the emergency break lights going off and on with beeping loud sound. So i put the gear on park and turned off the car. The two censor lights on left and right wouldn't go off. I called the dealership i got the car from not Ford store San leandro, CA but third party dealership to report my issue. By this time I'm scared to drive off before I hit someone on my lunch break or die out somewhere having to rush back and clock in from lunch. Guy at dealership said to hang up he gave me the warranty number to call them directly. They'll get the process started. I called and spoke with warranty people told them my situation they advise to call back their same number press #1 for tow truck. Have it towed to a Ford dealership that has service. Have them look at the car see what's wrong and to call them for pricing and how long it'll take so they can move forward. I hung up called Ford San Leandro and told them my situation and to please call me once my car arrives with tow truck. Which was already in place to pick my car and deliver to them. I left my name spelling first and Last. I also left my phone number where i can be reached.
Long story short no follow up Tuesday I decided to go Wednesday yesterday to see what's going on. One guy was so helpful he typed in my name and phone number but I didn't come up in their system. He walked me to my car mind you its around 5:45pm they're soon closing. He went flagged the service manager Paul to tell him about my situation. Talked to Paul and he said he will call tomorrow 12 noonish. Mind you I'm car less asking people for a ride to and from work. No follow up til after 2pm. Kept calling them nada no answer. Finally nearly closing time. Paul picked up the phone and said "A call was made to my insurance and it was denied. They didn't find anything wrong with my car except my two back speakers were blown out and it'll cost me $430 to pay. Since insurance won't cover. In his words decline to pay. Cause its not covered under my warranty. Then he said you can come and pick it up. We hung up telling him we are on the way. Something told me to call and follow up with warranty people. The warranty customer service online said there was never a record of the Ford store San Leandro store calling. (mind you I'm upset already with the unprofessional phone or follow up) then Paul telling me it was denied. (They tech guys didn't find no problem yet still charged an arm and leg) if that wasn't enough. I arrive at the Ford store to pay out of pocket I looked at my papers my name was misspelled. Charolette Finu phone # a whole different set of numbers. Mind u everytime i called i left my name and phone number on vmail or person who answered the phone.
I said to the woman at cashier this is why no one could find me when I called. Oh no we got it. I said my warranty people said no one called or no record. I seen Paul and said "Hey I spoked to my warranty people and he argued that no one called from Ford store. He put up his hands to my face and said "We're closing I need to pick my son up." This worthless unprofessional I wonder how he got a job at this place had the nerves yet couldn't explain not even no proof that he called my warranty people to communicate about the findings of my car. I'm a preschool teacher and the most understanding human on this planet. I felt so crushed angry and upset. I hope you Ford people treat other people with respect. Follow through with what you say you will do. My warranty people said different. Even at check out with Chelsea she couldn't give me proof the phone call was made. So heart breaking. Please use another Ford dealership service who will listen and your concerns and request will matter. These people are just blindly there !
