Carlie McCracken Review of 11 Bridges

After reading previous reviews we knew to expect rules, but were also hoping for a family-friendly atmosphere. When we arrived, we were a little put off by all of the signs with rules written with big exclamation marks. They seem to send a message that the owners really don't like having people in their campground. We really thought that there are nicer ways to post campground rules and that perhaps these signs could be balanced with other, more friendly and welcoming signs. The 'legendary tree' was magnificent to see, but also disappointing in that the kids were not allowed to even walk on the part that is laying firm on the ground. That said, we ended up liking our spot, which was well-treed, and we enjoyed the quiet atmosphere, free of rowdy parties. The owners were not unfriendly. We enjoyed the plentiful trees and shade. For a privately run campground, it was surprisingly clean and well-maintained, including bathrooms and showers. There were many other families and always children at the playground for our own kids to play with. We liked the location with the 11 bridges, suspension bridge, and hoodoos close by. We would recommend this campground if you are seeking a quiet place to relax with family or a small group, if you are ok with having no music, with having a curfew of 11pm, and with having some unfriendly signage around you.
