It's an old property, and despite their website announcing "multi-million dollar upgrades" it's still tired. I agree that there's more than the usual freeway noise, even for hotels right by the 101. And in my room, I can continually hear the sound of the elevators being activated - not loud but annoying. But the staff is excellent from my experience and it's still a decent night's stay. But only one night. Restaurant is adequate - not huge variety or imagination, but properly prepared.
