Friendly and helpful staff. Lovely ambiance throughout the hotel. The building is old, but everything has been redone and is updated. Charming rooms. Still has the charm of the Old Ambassador East (this hotel is updated from that one which was Sinatra loved to visit). A lovely cafe is within the hotel with backgammon, chess, dominoes and other games to play. Attached is also The Pump Room (another historical stomping ground of Frank Sinatra - and other celebrities). Affordable breakfast/brunch is served in the pump room and at night it becomes a lively bar/ restaurant.

The hotel is in walking distance of many restaurants and cafe's. It is also pretty close to the Navy Pier and the Magnificent Mile. The hotel is in a cute part of town, close to lots of great and fun places. Highly recommended.
