Do not do business with BMW of North America, BMW ...

Do not do business with BMW of North America, BMW of Long Beach, or BMW Financial Services. They are dishonest racists. I purchased a used BMW X5 from BMW of Long Beach. They suggested that I purchase an extra warranty to cover any issues on the car. Initially they tried to finance it, but in the end, I was forced to pay several thousand dollars out of pocket. Immediately, there were issues with the car. Initially I took the car in, repairs were made and I was given a loaner car. As the end of the warranty came, I knew there was something seriously wrong with the car. I would take it in for diagnostic and they would do some warranty repairs and the same problem persisted. At a little over 95,000 miles, about 5000 miles until the warranty expired, I insisted something was wrong with the car. A complete diagnostic was done and small repairs were made. I took the car back more than 8 times in the last 5000 miles insisting there was something seriously wrong. I finally decided to try to file for a lemon. I went through BMW s process for a lemon. Nancy had their mechanic do another complete diagnostic on the car. In the meantime, I reached 100,000 miles and my warranty was no longer good. I was told the car was not a lemon, that it simply reached a high mileage and was no longer in warranty. Nancy was rude, unprofessional, and unhelpful. I am an immigrant with a heavy accent and she used that to her advantage. All of the people at the company did this. When I had this escalated to her supervisor Fran, things got worse. They sent the car in again for a complete diagnostic, kept it over two weeks and agreed to replace the coils, but that was all they offered. When the car was repaired, the problem still existed. Fran agreed to look at it again, but I was told the car was not a lemon and they would do nothing for me. At that point I was informed that the transmission was bad and it would cost me $15,000 to repair it. I asked Fran to speak to her supervisor and was told she did not have one. I asked my wife to call. She is an American without an accent and I thought they would treat her better. Nancy was aggressive and screamed at my wife. When my wife complained to Fran about Nancy s unprofessionalism and asked to make a formal complaint, she was told things would be handled. Nothing was handled. In the meantime, I called BMW financial and explained the situation. They gave me a two-month deferment while I worked with the lemon department. This has now been going on for six months and nothing has changed. I have missed one payment to BMW and now they are threatening me. Not one person at this company is willing to work with me. My car was purposely not fixed until the warranty ran out and not I am left holding the bag. This is not good business practice. I will never do business with any of the branches of BMW and I will be sure to tell this story all over the internet. I have no problem paying for this car if BMW would make good on the repairs that would have been in warranty if they had not wasted time making sure the warranty timed out. It took over two months for them to diagnose the car and do absolutely nothing. The repairs could have been completed under warranty in less time.
