I had the privilege of volunteering at an event hosted by this organization, and it was an incredible experience. Special Olympics Oregon (SOOR) provides a platform for athletes with intellectual disabilities to showcase their skills and abilities. The atmosphere during the event was filled with joy and camaraderie. It was evident that the athletes felt supported and encouraged every step of the way. Special Olympics Oregon creates a safe and inclusive space where the focus is on the abilities rather than the disabilities of the individuals. I would highly recommend supporting this organization as they create opportunities for growth and empowerment.
