Romeo and Juliet surprised me in a couple ways...h...

Romeo and Juliet surprised me in a couple ways...having never seen the opera before, i was surprised how lovely the music and the Arias were....
Both Romeo and Juliet had impressive voices, particularly Romeo...
it however seemed to lack the emotional strength necessary to tell this
very sad love story..
Also the staging was bad again; a few benches and archways do not a stage make...staging is such a part of the experience of the opera it is
a shame it has nothing to add to the experience
