I work in customer service, so I know personally that compliments and good reviews go a long way in an often thankless position. I want to give kudos to the salesman Charlie Simpson from Modern Toyota of Winston Salem who worked diligently with me for a WEEK to put me in a 2013 Toyota Corolla. I was driving a 94 Honda Accord, and I had planned on driving her until the end of time. But I knew it was time to move on to something more dependable. I had first visited this dealership on 7/5/16 with a list of cars to test drive and no intention to purchase. I informed Charlie that it was my first time shopping for a new car and that I wasn't ready to make any decisions, nor did I want to be pressured. He honestly showed me a lot of respect and was patient with me as I narrowed down the make and model that I would feel most comfortable with. I went home last Tuesday to do more homework on my future ride and later decided that I wanted to come back for the Corolla. Charlie worked with me throughout the week--allowing me time to come up with a down-payment and a plan for staying within my budget. He could've easily not kept in contact when I left the lot the first time. He could've easily allowed the car to be sold to someone else. Transitioning from the luxury of having no car payment to financing a more modern car would be a big milestone for me, and Charlie (and really everyone I encountered at this dealership) made sure I was taken care of. Yesterday (7/11) in under three hours , I traded in my 20-year-old car and drove off in a new one, and Charlie Simpson truly made my first-time buying experience a seamless one. I felt like all my questions were answered without pretense and with clarity. I'd definitely work with this dealership again, and I'm really happy with my decision! Thanks a lot, guys!
