In early August, we went to Jordan s in Reading to pick out furniture for our new home. I am pregnant, so I was taking my time and sitting a lot to talk about different furniture pieces with my husband. We couldn t have more than a 30 second conversation before being interrupted by a salesperson! Luckily we went upstairs where Debra was in the living room section and she wasn t pushy and let us just sit for a minute and look around. We ended up asking her to help us with our entire purchase.

Our main issues were living room and mattress. We had an old, terrible mattress, that is NOT good for pregnancy. We also needed a new couch to replace the non-pregnancy friendly old furniture we had (low, lumpy, unsupported).

We picked new furniture for the entire house. My ONE ask was that the mattress be delivered quickly. They said that there were delays, but GUARANTEED that our mattress would arrive no later than early September. It is now October. Do you know where my mattress is? Neither do I. I m still pregnant, sleeping on a horrible mattress. No updates there, either.

They just emailed my husband to say that our living room, which should have been delivered already now has NO SHIP DATE.

I understand Covid, and totally get delays, but at least be honest and take care of your repeat, longtime customers.

Also, we purchased a dining room set and bedroom set manufactured by Liberty Furniture that we now found out we could ve purchased for less money (same exact white sets!) at Bob s or Bernie + Phyls and had them already! Maybe a mattress too!

We usually shop at the Stoughton or Natick locations but our new home was closer to Reading so we decided to shop there and we have been wholly disappointed. The only reason they get any stars is because Debra was fabulous.

At this rate, maybe we ll have the mattress before the baby arrives in February, but maybe not.
