I think most people would rather have a root canal...

I think most people would rather have a root canal than go shopping for a new car. I am no different. It's why I like Toyota because they last so long. I can keep my visits to a minimum. That being said, Freedom Toyota was not what I was expecting.
We stopped by on the 4th of July while they were closed to have a look at the inventory without being pestered by a salesperson. There was a promotion for the holiday. Sadly though. by Saturday, there no more vehicles like the one that I wanted. But I was undeterred and traded a few emails with the dealership before actually sitting down with them on the following Saturday.
When we did, Doug made an excellent offer even though the vehicle in the correct configuration was not on the lot. He was great, and unlike most car salespeople that I ever work with. He was nice and informative, not condescending. He wasn't bothered when we asked for a little discount and we could tell that he was honestly trying to help us. It never felt confrontational or did he ever insult our intelligence. We'll be back next summer for out next vehicle.
