P.J. Whitty Review of Sheraton Suites Fairplex

I was very disappointed in their reservation system and their inability to correct mistakes. We'd had a wedding party stay there with one of our party responsible for setting up reservations. When it came to adding names to rooms, the reservations department was unable to help but could change a name, however not the one that made the reservation and even when told the name was changed, it was not. Additionally, when the person within our party that arranged the rooms decided that she and her family weren't going to stay and cancelled her reservation (making sure it was the reservation on a Friday night which included 2 children in the room which she was told it was by the staff), the reservation that was cancelled was the room on Saturday night that she arranged for the bride and groom for their wedding night. Due to another large function at the hotel, the manager was unable to provide a room and could not find a comparable room close-by nor could offer any assistance with the cost of said room (even a discount for the SNAFU would have been appreciated as the room he could find was at a Best Western that wasn't in as nice of an area and cost more that the original reservation). I was also disappointed with the size of the rooms and the layout of the room. It was not up to the ADA specifications that I could see, from button placement in the elevator to where the thermostat was in the room. I stayed Saturday night in a less expensive motel which showed more concern for their customer than the Sheraton Fairplex had shown. This is not what is expected from such a highly regarded brand name in the lodging industry.
