I am very fond of Greek food and had heard Apollon...

I am very fond of Greek food and had heard Apollonia was a nice restaurant. We were quite disappointed. The grilled octopus was tender, but not grilled, at least there was no evidence or grill marks and it was nothing like the many other times I have had the dish in Greece as well as Greek restaurants in many other cities. The Greek salad was, well not an authentic Greek salad either. A Greek Salad is 5 ingredient: Tomato, cucumber, red onion, kalamata olives and feta cheese: A tradition in Greece and Turkey; a specific salad and it is dressed with a dressing base of olive oil , lemon juice and spices. Period. This salad was field greens and lettuce, very very small pieces of cucumber, two large wedges of tasteless tomato, two thin slices of beet with red onion, feta and olives. The worst part, a side cup of a pink vinaigrette which was nothing lile a Greek dressing, this made the entire dish terribly disappointing. Certian menu items should be true to what they are suppose to be, otherwise change the name by which you call it ! The lamb burger was way undercooked and the only really good item were the fries. The value for price was not valid...I would not go back, there are too many better places in this lovely area.
