I have taken many organized tours and this was the first time that the company really dropped the ball. I purchased a tour to Croatia from them (biking and sailing) and had several small complaints (e.g. was charged the full fee for a double room, but ended up with a much smaller room as a single than any of the double rooms on the boat.), but the central problem was that they misled me: I was told that I would be part of a group with a paid group leader that would organize the daily rides, etc. As I found out half-way through the trip, there was NO GUIDE for me, but instead, another guide from another tour (Tema Travel from Sweden) agreed, out of the goodness of his heart, to take me on as an extra for no pay to him. On the very last day of the cruise, the woman who was my "organizer" stopped by (I had never met her previously) to check on my transportation by to the airport in Dubrovnik. When I complained to her about how there was no group for me (even tho I chose this particular week to go on the cruise specifically because I was told the group was nearly full), but that I had been "adopted" by another unrelated tour group who was not paid, she suggested I give the guide an extra-large tip (which I did because none of this was his doing), but I thought that was totally inappropriate. When I returned to the states, I contacted Indus who said that they would check into what happened, but I never heard another thing. So my recommendation is to be very wary of this tour company: they contract with other companies to sell tours that they know little about and have really nothing to do with. I ended up being lucky and joined a great group, but I have no idea what would have occurred if the guide had not been so kind as to include me (and spend extra time explaining everything in English to me that he had told the group in Swedish!). The could have at least offered to reimburse me for the "extra-large tip," but they did nothing.
