My mom had her 92nd birthday the other day. We live 5 hours away and with the Stay Safe orders, we felt lost. Mom loves pie, so I gave it a shot and called Indian Ladder Farms. They do not usually deliver things like pie, but Donna, the food service manager, could not have been sweeter and more accommodating! She agreed to get my mom a cherry pie later in the day.
While I was on the phone with my mom that afternoon wishing her a happy birthday, her doorbell rang and Donna presented her with a warm cherry pie, a balloon, and a couple of cider donuts! We are so grateful for her kindness and thoughtfulness. She is one of my new heroes!
Thank you for going out of your way for a stranger!
BTW Mom said the pie was delicious!!!
