Christopher Castro Review of Tryp Los Galeones
I do not usually give the minimum rating, but this...
I do not usually give the minimum rating, but this hotel deserves it with an advantage. I booked a suite at this hotel because I wanted to be close to the English court. As I was traveling with my daughter and some friends, I called several days before arriving to ensure that the room was extended until 5 p.m. was insured. I told the receptionist over the phone that if he couldn't make sure I would check out at 5 p.m., he should tell me and cancel the reservation, that nothing would happen. He said no problem, not once, several times.
Upon arrival at the hotel I checked in and they told me that the extension was not guaranteed. And that the most they could do was extend it for 40% of the price of a room. It doesn't bother me to pay, but when you are paying 400 a day and you stay 5 days, the least kindness you expect is that there is a loyalty and they do not charge it. It doesn't matter, I didn't care. Upon reaching the room I realized that the cards were not working, so I had to go down to make new ones.
I have been in the best hotels in the world (you can see it in my history), and I assure you that the suite in this hotel is not worth 1/3 of what they charge you. It appears in the hotel description that it is soundproof, but you hear absolutely everything. From the mutant boy who hasn't stopped screaming and running since 7 a.m. from one side to the other in the next room, like the cleaning people who seem to spend 12 hours cleaning a single floor of the hotel (you'll see the productivity). Or the heels of the aunt upstairs. Fatal, of soundproof nothing.
The room has outdated air conditioning, and it doesn't work in the suite. It doesn't matter if you set it to 10 or 20, it just doesn't cool. They do not replace the batteries in the television controls, I had to change them myself. The cleaners didn't change the sheets on the sofa bed once, and the bathroom cistern is from the third world. You have to be holding the button for a minute for whatever you do to go away.
A disaster. You put 4 stars at the entrance, but you are at most a small hotel of 2. I will not return to your hotel, nor to a melia for the rest of my life.
