I was in the area for business last year and needed to stay close to the airport to catch a flight the next day. I looked up hotels near the airport in a ten-mile radius that were affordable but still at a higher level than the 2 star hotel brands. Many of the hotels were around two hundred plus for one night as is standard for the area. I found the Crown Plaza while using my IHG account and noticed it had good reviews, was close to the airport and less than most of the hotels of the same level in the area.

The hotel as you pull up if you're driving in, doesn't have very much parking in the front area, so skip it and go to the back to park. You do have to pay for parking but parking was plentiful. When you walk into the lobby, it's very bright and has an elegant feel to it. I was recognized as an IHG member and requested a room with a good view of the bay. However since the hotel was booked, I took whatever room they had which as a King room. The room was a good size for one or two nights, clean, with very nice amenities like robes, slippers, higher end shampoos and toiletries. Crown Plaza prides itself in comfort which my bed was and I did have a great sleep. If you're a business traveller the wifi is good, and I had no trouble connecting. The desk and chair and workspace were roomy enough to have all of my tools, laptop, phones etc. without being too cluttered. The hotel has dining although I went out to eat that night (see my next review), a gym and a pool. There is really no place on the property to hang out outside but there is a walking trail along the bay if you want to get outside.

Pros - Close to the airport and reasonably priced, Great staff, and a nice clean room with a very comfortable bed
Cons, no room in the driveway to park while check-in unless you get lucky.
