Don't ask or think "why"? If "few" show a bad attitude even for a reason you can't think of.
Management, supervisors won't come to ask you on what you did instead they'll approach those trusted few loyal reporters.
Never expect a raise on salary or Thankyou even if on your yearly review. As far as i know there is no review.
