We last saw the Lear production by Karin Beier with Edgar Selge in the title role - and were thrilled! A new look at this gloomy Shakespeare play, provocative especially for "my" pensioner generation, which has long been rid of the "burden and burden of the office", but still and forever wants to co-determine and participate, no matter how "dizzy" one already is. And to connect yet a surprising, provocative epilogue - addressed to the "us following boys" ... Thanks to the great actors and all other contributors! However, since it is now usually very full in the Schauspielhaus, a little more staff for cloakroom and beverage sales would be desirable.
