I lived in the Tower, a building that was well past its prime. The elevator (my room was on the 8th floor) got stuck a few times, the furniture and carpets as well as the balcony looked shabby.
The waterfall in the lobby really looks good, but that's about it. You then walk through a garden to the tower, exotic birds on one side and koi anderens on the other; that too is not quite to my taste.
A luggage service was not offered.
The hotel is on Mission Bay, near the Pacific. A couple of pubs, grocery stores, and pharmacy are 2-3 blocks away. Nevertheless, next time in San Diego I would rather stay downtown, as there are newer hotels and then e.g. B. the Gaslamp District offers more dining and entertainment options.
