Really wonderful staff from the onset, been renting with them for nearly 2 years in student housing, in that time the staff have been really helpful and prompt with getting our issues passed on to the landlady/maintanance team. Whilst people often associate student letting agency poorly, I have had a wonderful experience with lighthouse, but it is always important to remember that everything in terms of repairs and maintenance needs landlady/lord approval, which in some cases can be timely, and our house needed a lot of love. Despite our sometimes excessively slow landlady, on approving quite important issues for example our leaking shower and loud boiler. I found the staff at lighthouse were really good at constantly chasing her up to try and move the process along as soon as possible for us, and constantly keep us in the loop in the progress of aproval. Once work was under way, I also found the contractors used by lighthouse to be extremely friendly and efficient in their trades, getting the job done with little disruption and to a standard, which has stood the test of time. Overall the staff at lighthouse are wonderful and happy to help, and defiantly should not be judged by the failings of landlady and Lord s. I didn t give 5* simply because I feel their despoits are too high went compared to other student letting agency, but I understand that they are set by the landlords and lady s, and because when we moved in to our house the fire detectors hadn t been checked in the kitchen, and I had to request my room be deep cleaned again, again this aspect is often done by the landlady and lord and lighthouse have a lot of properties to assess in this small window between tenants.
