I underwent a spinal cord puncture here some time ...

I underwent a spinal cord puncture here some time ago. neurologist had indicated in advance that he has little experience in this and it turned out. 5 days later I got serious complications, in addition to the infernal headache that causes such a puncture, I also got violent ringing in the ears and facial paralysis. What turned out afterwards. the neurologist in question had not followed the correct protocol that applies to spinal cord punctuation, i.e. he had not done enough to reduce the risk of complications. For example, the patient must lie down for at least an hour before and after the puncture. In addition, blood must be collected from the outpatient clinic while the patient is lying. The blood must then be sent to the laboratory within half an hour with the collected spinal cord. Instead, the neurologist did not leave me at all before and after the puncture. in fact, if I wanted to rush after the puncture to the blood collection department to prick blood and then rush back to neurology to deliver the blood. I also heard afterwards that a puncture decrease in 9 out of 10 cases is not necessary because in many cases no deviations are found. You understand that I now have another treating neurologist, about which I am satisfied. I was very lucky that the complications disappeared after about 3 weeks, but the symptoms could just as well be permanent. Every time I enter this hospital I have to think about that rotten experience again, yuck.
