Great service, and really great food. We stayed in the Benjamin Franklin Suite and the Owner's Suite. The rooms are very overdecorated and cluttered for our personal tastes, but it definitely made it a fun and unique experience. From my research, it is near impossible to find a king bed at a five star hotel in Scotland. The queen bed in the BF suite is comfortable, although the large bed frame makes the room a bit tight. I would suggest ordering food during regular restaurant hours as the overnight menu is extremely limited. The grounds are well kept and are filled with flowers and local birds; we even saw a handful of peacocks, pheasant, partridge, and a couple of bulls. A long walk to the center of town, and a bit of a walk to the nearest bus stop, but other than that a nice place to stay if you appreciate great food and interesting decor.
