The customer in front of me asked the appraiser whether a particular detail was included in the set he had just acquired. The appraiser put the customer down in a rude tone and wordy for stupid. The customer stayed polite and tried to appease them, but that didn't slow the appraiser down.
When it was my turn, I asked if the property I had brought with me could be used. The appraiser immediately dismissed me and made me understand the ridiculousness of my intentions.
It appears that courtesy and appropriate behavior towards the customer are not among the requirements of an appraiser in the Dorotheum.
At least my tel. Contacts with two branches were both polite.
