Went back to Cell Only when my SO had issues after getting a new, unlocked, phone. For whatever reason she was unable to make calls after transferring her SIM card over. We went in looking for some help considering the rest of her services worked just fine.
The guy we talked to was extremely unknowledgeable about the situation and his only solution was for her to buy a new phone. I know enough about how phones work to attempt to explain why he was incorrect but he still insisted we just had to buy something new. We said we'd look into it more and would need a few minutes and he went into the back.
After waiting for 10+ minutes another employee who was already helping someone told two other employees to ask us what we needed since we were the only other two customers in the store and they weren't doing anything. They proceeded to ignore him and never approached us. After another 10 minutes the guy came back out and asked what we wanted to do, and as soon as we started explaining again, he just walked away. He literally said nothing and just walked away. We walked back over to him and yet another employee that had come out from the back and he repeated the same spiel he had told us already, but he went in the back to "ask his DM" and they said we should just call Verizon tech support instead because there was nothing they could do about it l.
So we finally left.
Turns out her SIM card had just gotten damaged at some point and needed to be replaced, which the Verizon store in the mall figured out immediately and replaced at no cost.
I had given this store 5-stars previously for helping me when I purchased my phone a couple of years ago, but this awful experience was the exact opposite of the first one and absolutely killed any good will that I had for this place. I could have understood if it was just the one employee, but if only 1 out of 5 employees is actually willing to try and help a customer here, I won't be going back, and at this point I wouldn't recommend anybody else choose to go here either.
Initial Review:
Went in looking too see if they had a display for the Google Pixel 2 XL. They didn't have one out yet but the Solutions Specialist, Jake, owned one and let me play with it some. I was super impressed. Most wouldn't feel too comfortable handing their phone over to a stranger, but it paid off. I ended up leaving with one as my phone was close enough to the upgrade date already.
He was knowledgeable enough about the P2 XL and other phones that we were able to chat about the phones as I waited. He also was able to answer my questions about general Verizon practices and offered to show me how to do certain things.
I was also never pushed to buy anything just to make a sale which, in my opinion, is the best quality a sales person can have.
If all of their employees are as helpful and knowledgeable, this store is in good hands. I'll most likely return here if need be.
