My family has been loyal to BMW over the past 10 years, leasing or purchasing over 10 BMWs. In an industry where the customer has many options for premium vehicles, we have been fiercely loyal to BMW. Unfortunately BMW North America has shown their true colors when push comes to shove. I had to take my car into my local BMW dealership to have some belts and pulleys replaced. When those very same parts malfunctioned 5 days later while I was on the road, you would think that BMW would do everything in their power to make sure a very loyal customer is taken care of given the level of inconvenience they are having to incur. This is not even close to the case. Both BMW North America and my local dealership would rather point fingers at each other and give me the run around instead of trying to work collaboratively to find a resolution. It has become very apparent to me that BMW is solely interested in accepting the customers money but not standing by their brand and assisting their customers however possible. I will never lease or own another BMW after this experience. It has been extremely disappointing. As Warren Buffet wisely said, "It takes 20 years to build a reputation and five minutes to ruin it." That is absolutely the situation in my case.
