I have stayed in many resorts and hotels and NEVER seen this before. When booking through a third party vendor it states there will be a $50.00 PER STAY deposit which is totally understandable and customary. So, unless you book directly with the resort (or at least this was their excuse when questioned) you will be unaware there is ACTUALLY a $50.00 PER DAY UPFRONT deposit. Coco Key stated they have no control over a third party s listed prices and the third party claims ignorance of the actual costs. Deceptive practices on the part of either the resort and or third party booking company who does NOT list this on their website. For someone on a limited income this can be the difference in having a good time on their vacation or not even being able to eat. I am totally disgusted and hope this doesn t ruin anyone else s vacation.
