Extremely clean, operated very well under covid conditions. The place is quiet and masks were strictly enforced which I appreciated, even when I forgot mine once upon reentry. The staff is friendly, and the pool is amazing. The rooms have NO permanently installed carpet. Thank you hotel gods! We never wanted carpet at hotels to begin with. A nice wood laminate floor with small, washable rugs around made the room feel the cleanest I've ever stayed in. I missed the regular room service, as we stayed 5 days, but understand the precaution. The area is very affluent and much nicer than San Diego proper. About 10 mins from the beach, with stunning sunsets. There is ample food delivery in the area in case you don't want to go out much. Get away now before normal hotel prices return! Oh, and the bed and pillows are amazing. Thanks Marriott staff for a great stay. We will be back!
