I purchased flowers for my mother's birthday from the Flower Mill via 1800Flowers, and had the absolute worst experience. Even 1800Flowers couldn't believe it.
The flowers were supposed to be delivered on Friday, which were no where near what I had ordered. My mom was happy with them, so I just messaged 1800Flowers to let them know that the local vendor did not executeto the website, just so they could know for future purchases.
1800Flowers had great service and said they would arrange for a re-delivery, which I didn't expect. Was happy they'd give me what I paid for ($100 bouquet).
Next, the Flower Mill goes to my mom's house and revokes the original bouquet. Which apparently is against policy for a re-delivery.
I called back to 1800Flowers and they assure me this is unprecedented behavior, and my mom would get a new arrangement that day (her birthday) or the next day.
The next day came and went, no flowers. They (1800Flowers and Flower Mill) had lied to me, and said the flowers would be sent the next Monday, 3 days after her actual birthday and the intended delivery date.
What even makes me more mad is my family has been excellent customers of the Flower Mill in the past. My sister did her wedding florals from them. But I can t believe they would actually confiscate birthday flowers from a recipient when called out on their mistake!
My mom now has no flowers, on her birthday or the day after. Part of being a florist is being mindful of the special day you are serving for you clients. I am appalled at the service I received from a Sioux Falls vendor.
