During summer of 2018 I was accepted for a six weeks internship in the area of human rights. My contact person of the AIESEC chapter Chennai recommended the wrong visa to me (explanation: "we are always doing it like that"), so that I was rejected from entering the country. After a rough night in an airport cell, I was sent back to Germany. Although they expressed their condolences for their mistake, I have never received a single cent of compensation of the over 1.200 I invested (375 AIESEC program fee, 700 flight costs, 160 visa fee).
