I parked in a handicapped spot outside purple entrance to visit nephew in ICU. Entrance was locked at 1pm on Saturday. Had to walk 2 block's, in 10 degree weather to the main entrance. Told by security to go to 7th floor MICU. Arrive there to find doors again locked. Sign said under construction with no further instructions as where or what to do. I had to find a housekeeper as there was no one around to help. She told me I would need to take elevator down to the 4th floor, and then walk down another long hallway to another set of elevators to go up to the 7th floor again. No directions posted anywhere! Then use a phone to get let in to unit after ringing 10 times someone finally let me in. Tried to find cafeteria, and again no signs anywhere
until 10 feet fro entrance, which was a small fork and spoon. I have never seen anything like it. An elderly handicapped person wandering around a hospital with no signs is totally ridiculous. The only reason I give 3 stars is because of the helpful housekeeper and nursing staff. No help or clerical staff anywhere. I won't even tell you about trying to get out. Get off the dime and PUT IP SOME SIGNS!!! If there isn't money in the budget maybe fire a Higher up position and hire some useful staff.
