I just spent three weeks in and around Edinburgh and managed to easy at The Salisbury Arms on two occasions. On both occasions their dining room was full but we were able to be seated in the back area and order from the bar. The food was decent but honestly I've had better fish and chips in the states. The atmosphere and excellent staff more than compensates for the food however. I will say that one member of our party had the traditional Sunday roast and it looked amazing. Sometimes it sucks to be a pescatarian.
