Have been a customer here since day 1. Before day one even.... the bakery. Beautifully remodeled . Favorite dish is pan fried halibut. I ve been ordering it forever. Today the waiter tells me no such thing. Ever. I asked him to ask someone who has been working there Longer. I mean I ve been coming here more years than waiter Alex has. And he makes me feel like I m crazy.

So they agree to make the fish but want to charge me $2.50 extra. Ok fine. So the fish comes and it s burnt. Waiter never comes by to check on table. So I have him pack it up for my dogs. It was sooo burned I couldn t even eat it. If I were the waiter, i would have at least asked if there was a problem. Overall it was very disappointing. A big surprise. Usually the chowder is excellent. They have somehow tinkered with the recipe. Something I don t understand. Their world famous chowder is hardly fresh made and cold as a stone. In fact, the only thing on my entree plate that was warm was the baked yam.

Best part was the wine, which took little effort.

In short, really bad service from politely argumentative waiter. Cold chowder. Burned halibut. Smoked fish appetizer was excellent though.
