Review of Scallywag Tag

A very nice place to take the family.

A very nice place to take the family.
There is an arcade with a good variety of video games + skill games like skee-ball.
The laser tag section is pretty big, but could get crowded quickly depending on how busy it is, but you reserve times to play, so they can control that. There's also a viewing area upstairs so you can watch people playing. You can't see the entire arena, but you'll see your kids or friends you're with go by every once in a while. The laser tag arena has multiple levels and plenty of obstacles to hide behind for ambush or just to catch your breath when all your kids decide to gang up on you and chase you all over the place. :-)
The indoor "blacklight" mini-golf course is the highlight for me. I've been to several of these, and this one has the best artwork I've seen anywhere. The statues and mixed-media effects make for an immersive experience, and the golf course is pretty good too. It's challenging enough that the adults weren't bored but even the little kids (we had one with us that just turned 6 years old) were able to make low scores on some holes and not get too frustrated.

It was pretty slow the night we were there, and while it was good to not have to rush the kids through the mini-golf, the laser tag would have been more fun with more people. Hopefully they'll still be around once people start getting out more post-pandemic, because this everyone really had a lot of fun here and we look forward to going back.
